Hotel Reale

This is the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in, the room was awful. The air-conditioning didn’t work. The door to the outside was stuck and I had to bend down to get out on the balcony. The view from the balcony was interesting full of rubbish in the streets, the room itself was something to behold, sticky headboard and the whole room was in need of redecoration, The wardrobe was so filthy that my partner refused to hang her clothes up in it. The evening meal was school dinners at Best. And breakfast was very poor, we complain to our booking company, and that evening we decided to leave.

Very friendly hotel, great value for money. Hotel staff were very accommodating. Particular mention to be made to receptionists Angela and Sara, who gave lots of information on places to visit and arranged taxis for us. Unfortunately on our arrival to Pisa there was a national train strike which left us stranded but Sara organised a taxi to pick us up and collect us at short notice for which we were extremely grateful!

A beautiful charming hotel, centrally placed for the coach and railway links. All staff are friendly and helpful, in particular, a member of the reception team helped us to obtain tickets for the local opera! Huge thanks to Sara! The buffet breakfast is varied and plentiful, the evening meals are homemade and service is swift!

Great value 3 star hotel - brilliant location, comfortable clean rooms, nice choice of food and we can only reiterate what others have said about the staff - extremely friendly and helpful. We would like to particularly thank Sara on reception who really did go the extra mile for us and secured tickets for the opera at short notice, even though it was obviously a busy day on reception. A big thank you to Hotel Reale for making our short stay a really special one!

Stayed here, booked by travlodeal. We were welcomed with fizz and a free bottle of wine at dinner, an unexpected touch. We were also surprised to have half board, free funicular & wine tasting vouchers. The staff were fabulous and really this is what made our stay here, they try their best to accommodate you and made our holiday when they secured sell out opera tickets for us. It was a good atmosphere for quiet drinks in an evening. The walls were not sound proof but this didn't impact too much as was quiet at night. Maybe take ear plugs if light sleeper. The food was reasonable. Great value for 3 star accomodation and a short break to Montecatini. Well placed for train station and local sights. Gratzi for looking after us ♥️🤍💚

What a lovely three star hotel. The staff were definitely 5 star plus, the food was very good (Half board), with a decent selection each night. The room was a basic twin, but extremely clean and the housekeeping was spot on! I would definitely come back to this hotel, because of the lovely, super friendly staff. Everything was spot on. The town is delightful, and easy to get to other places from the local train station. On the whole, we found the Italians to be helpful, friendly and genuine. Well done 👏 ✔️.

Great location for day trips and easy to get around by train. Station is only a few minutes walk from the station. The staff are so warm and friendly and good choice of food. The bedrooms are fairly basic but comfortable and clean. Montecatini Terme is a beautiful town.

We stayed at the hotel via a Travel Zoo bargain 4 day break, at about £250 each for 4 days half board. Given the price I can say that this hotel was very good value. The hotel is very clean and has a nice court yard and small swimming pool. While we were there the weather was awful so we didn’t get chance to use it. It has an old world charm in the lobby and bar area. The room we had was good, large bed, nice pillows and a full bath with shower over. Other family travelling with us only had small bathrooms and the one single room was tiny. The staff were very friendly and efficient, speaking very good English. The meals were adequate, taking into account the price. Breakfast had limited hot options but the continental options were good. Dinner was also limited with soup, pasta or salad followed by small main course and a help yourself cold vegetable buffet , There was one option for dessert. Not everyone in our party enjoyed the food but I would say, given the price, I felt it was reasonable. There are lots of restaurants nearby if we had felt like eating out. The negative for me was the noise, we could hear people talking or TVs at night, I could even hear someone snoring in another room. Given the age of the building retrofitting sound proofing is unlikely - perhaps take earplugs. We also got quite a few bites on this trip so I’d advise taking mossie spray to Tuscany. Over all a very nice hotel with lovely staff.

I had my doubts after reading some of the reviews, but there was no need to have worried After travelling along a few narrow streets and thinking where have we come we arrived at a lovely hotel with a very pretty courtyard full of trees, shrubs and plants, an ideal spot to sit at any time of the day. We were greeted warmly by a lovely receptionist who spoke excellent English. Our room wasn’t ready but that didn’t cause any problem because we could leave our luggage and we wanted some lunch. Ordered lunch at the hotel and was very pleased with it Our room was on the 4th floor, but the lift was adequate for us and our luggage, and what a lovely, spacious room it was. There was a sun terrace on one side, great for morning coffee, and a balcony on another which had the evening sun. Bed was very firm but big and we slept well so it didn’t matter. There was plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. The shutters are a bit antiquated, but work and darkened the room for sleeping Shower room was very nice, there is a step up to the walk in shower but, even with us having mobility issues, this didn’t cause a problem Rooms were tidied and cleaned daily. There was teas, coffee, milk and sugar provided which were replenished daily and a small kettle. The fridge had bottled water in which was added to the bill if used. Breakfast choices available were scrambled egg and bacon, cereals and cakes non of which I tried, but I did have the breads, meat, cheese and croissants. There was also a pancake machine and toaster with a selection of preserves and butter. Help yourself to drinks from the machine and even take one outside into the shaded courtyard Evening meal was a different menu each evening with a choice for starter and mains but only one option for dessert. The choice was limited but adequate and everything I had was very tasty. No need to be hungry as there was also a cold buffet with vegetables, salads and breads. If you don’t finish all your bottle of wine they will keep it for the next evening or you can just take it outside to finish off. The staff were very nice and friendly and most spoke very good English. Didn’t use the swimming pool but it did look inviting The hotel is within walking distance of the main town and we walked to the Fenicular Railway and recommend you take the trip up to Montecatini Alto for lunch
