The Grand Hotel Plaza is very central for Pisa, Lucca, Sienna, San Gimignano as well as nearby villages. We walked up to M/Alto in 45 minutes from the Hotel but took the lift back down. We ate extremely well (half board) with well balanced dishes different every night. Breakfasts have something for everyone. Staff are really helpful, professional, and friendly - nothing too much trouble! It must be the highest bedroom and grandest dining room ever for us and always so clean. Slept well in a very comfy bed with amazing views over the Plaza and distant hills, shower was good, room safe and kettle most welcome. Cannot comment on the outdoor pool which remained closed. Do not miss the Spa (Terme) with spa tasting and a weekly opera, it,s beautiful. A midweek opera recital we thoroughly enjoyed and recommend if available. Train station is only 10 minutes from the hotel but as part of a group (Travel Dept) we were dropped 100 yds away - no problem! Lift serves all 4 floors taking 6 at a time. Hotel bar is cosy and open late. Highly recommended. Richard -UK

We're just back from a 5 night stay arranged by Gate1 (On-Your-Own non-guided Tuscany tour). Had taken the identical program in 2019 staying at the Minerva (acceptable but, more shabby chic). We were note expecting Ritz Carlton or Four Searsons. Plaza's a mature old gal with still good bones. Can't beat the location - Right on the main city square. As others have noted - it is QUITE noisy until very late at night. We were in the front of the building - Room 427 - and sleep with windows open....so. If you're a light sleeper - use ear plugs. Being early April, I'm not certain the AC had been activated - other than outside noise, the room was comfortable. Bathroom was efficient and kept clean daily. WiFi? I was able to view YouTube adequately well. Room lighting could have been better but, my eyes are getting older so....YMMV Breakfast - generous European buffet. Staff fine.

The Room had the highest ceiling I've ever seen in a bedroom! Very Elegant. We had a superior room with a great view over the Piazza. Breakfast was normal European fair, but we went half board and the evening meals (5 courses of Italian dishes) were excellent Highly recommended to pay extra for half board. Wifi is slow. Parking is in the locality with a weekly pass €24 on any blue space of which there are many. Perhaps best to hire a small car, we had a Fiat 500 which was a new experience, the car I normally drive in the UK wouldn't fit in most of the spaces. Staff are pleasant, helpful and speak english.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel un po' di volte e ho sempre ricevuto un trattamento impeccabile. Servizio ineccepibile, pulizia delle camere, receptionist al top, io mi sono trovata meglio che a casa... Coccolata come una cliente affezionata. Ogni volta che devo recarmi in zona sia per necessità che per svago scelgo di soggiornare qui, dove si respira la vera essenza di un hotel di livello e della Montecatini Terme che conta. Assolutamente consigliato.

Ho soggiornato al gran hotel Plaza locanda maggiore e sono rimasto entusiasta .la posizione è fantastica proprio nel cuore di montecatini terme,comoda per passeggiare e visitare tutto .la mia camera era spaziosa pulitissima e con quel tocco di fascino classico che adoro .il personale è stato gentilissimo e sempre disponibile mia sono sentito davvero coccolato .colazione ottima con tante scelte e di tutti i gusti . È un posto consigliato per chi cerca relax eleganza e un accoglienza impeccabile

Ho soggiornato al Plaza e sono rimasto colpito dall’eleganza degli ambienti e dalla cura nei dettagli. La mia camera era spaziosa, silenziosa e con un letto comodissimo. Colazione ricca e personale sempre gentile. Ottima posizione, perfetta per esplorare la città. Lo consiglio!

Eh sì cari signori e signore, qui come da titolo della recensione, si torna a vivere un momento di "belle epoque". In questo splendido Hotel ogni cosa alla vista ti dona la sensazione di come si viveva in quella meravigliosa epoca. È davvero un luogo nel quale il relax, l'essere coccolati, la splendida cortesia unita alla massima professionalità ti fa sentire un altra persona, una persona che vive un piccolo momento di quel periodo probabilmente unico. Struttura già solo alla vista dall' esterno bellissima come il suo accesso rimasto inalterato nella sua classe. Atrio reception meraviglioso splendido in stile belle epoque con scalinata classica bellissima di quel tempo e di fianco le "salles a manger" in stile con lampadari magnifici. Camere pulitissime arredate in stile e dotate di ogni comfort alcune con vista sulla bella Piazza del Popolo cuore pulsante di Montecatini. Ogni piano ha salottini risalenti all' epoca,bellissimo! Personale della reception di una gentilezza sopraffina sempre disponibile a risolvere ogni problematica e davvero molto molto preparati. Colazione abbondanti con ogni ben di Dio con personale all' altezza così come in sala da pranzo dove oltre a gustare ottimi piatti locali vieni coccolato dal maitre di sala e dai camerieri preparatissimi. Eh sì davvero un "Grand Hotel" ! Tutti bravi,bravissimi. Chapeau!!
