Dinner was lovely. Stunning setting on the Barragem.

We had a divine dinner and thought the space was fabulous. Great stay. Everything was perfect, only the bathroom lighting could be improved.

We loved the hotel, cleanliness, room area, decoration. Coffee, tea and water in the room. The surrounding area, the swimming pool and the spectacular landscape. The excellent breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. We will definitely be back.

We loved everything. From accommodations to breakfast, it was days of rest. On repeat.

Exceptional!!!!!! An address to keep carefully. A magical place. The staff are absolutely and truly exceptional. We had a very good dinner (original, subtle, creative) We only stayed one night but what a night! The spacious room, the tasteful decoration, direct access to the swimming pool, the breathtaking view, the wind in the palm trees at nightfall. The exterior environment is magnificent with medlar trees and tangerine trees (maintained garden). A good stay that we are already planning to repeat over several days.

A great place to stay. We stayed at a villa with our own pool and the villa was spacious and with a small usable kitchen. We used the restaurant for lunch and dinner and the food was well made and tasty. One of the best thing is that the breakfast is delivered to the villa.

Absolutely perfect! We had a family stay in a villa. The children loved the pool. The views are breathtaking, the establishment is kept in pristine condition and the grounds are gorgeous. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and gracious. 10 out of 10!! We will return.

I struck gold with this hotel. I booked close to a company where I was to have a meeting the following day, so I didn't do a lot of research. The place is truly magnificent. The setting, scenery, the buildings, the rooms, all of it. The room was spacious and luxuriously furnished, with windows looking on to the infinity pool and the reservoir waters beyond, a view only partially blocked by a line of majestic palms. I was, astonishingly, the only guest (a Monday in November...), but was truly well looked after. Although the restaurant was "closed", Miguel (the chef), said he would prepare a dinner for me. What a delight for the senses. Excellent, creatively prepared food with local and seasonal ingredients. It was like having my own private chef for the evening. A very good night's sleep in a very quiet room, and a comfortable bed. The room has a massive TV, a huge split bathroom (double washbasin, shower, toilet), and is equipped with a coffee machine with a handful of capsules (I enjoyed a coffee on the terrace outside before I even went for breakfast). The service was impeccable. I realise that it was off-season and the room rate can be double what I paid, but even then it would be well worth the money. Thanks Miguel. I look forward to trying more of your food!

Very quiet place, good for resting. A wonderful view and a very spacious room. Very friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast and dinner. Thank you Chef Miguel, always attentive and available. I recommend it and we will definitely be back.

It could be good, the space is pleasant and well located, however some details tend to devalue the space, the breakfast is poor, not that it is little but there is little diversity and low quality of products, everything is very industrial, the villa itself presents defects perhaps due to lack of maintenance, the curtains do not block out sunlight well, they are sagging, one of the flush toilets was out of order which prevented the use of the bathroom in one of the suites, the staff is not very attentive.

We stayed in Monte Novo, 5 nights in the week of August 21st and in one of the independent villas with a swimming pool. A family of 4 with two children aged 13 and 11. The hotel is very quiet, on top of the dam, very well maintained and with an excellent view! The house is completely reserved from the rest of the hotel, very clean, super comfortable and well decorated. The beds, although small, are very comfortable. The activities at the dam are great for children, with wakebooards among others and Rogério is an excellent teacher. At first we didn't have dinner at the hotel restaurant, but after trying it, we haven't stopped going there. Excellent space with a great view over the dam, diverse menu and signature dishes highlighting flavors of the region. I recommend!!!!!

Excellent hotel where calm and attention to detail are constant. The Monte Novo hotel offers comfort and quality in a suitable and pleasant environment for the whole family. The hotel's restaurant serves excellent meals. Simply fantastic experience.

I recommend! I only stayed one night (I wanted to stay a few more) in the room with a lake view, the decor stands out for its difference and gives direct access to the pool with an incredible view. Very quiet place, great for resting and enjoying nature. All staff very friendly. I also suggest the restaurant. Enjoy!
