Came here with my family for dinner on our last night in Montalcino and we absolutely adored everything. We had the best food (I need to recommend the Pici with boar ragù) and the service was exceptional! Emanuele, we love you and will be waiting to see you in Australia! His service was impeccable and he was absolutely incredible in his recommendations. Such an asset to this place! All the best🫶🏻

Everything about our stay at Locanda Franci was superb. We were greeted warmly and welcomed with sparkling wine and fresh fruit salad. The room was charming. The bath was beautiful and modern. Sara and the entire staff were kind and attentive, sparing no effort to make our stay wonderful. The breakfasts were delicious, as was the one dinner we ate there. The location cannot be beat. We can’t wait to return.

Abbiamo soggiornato nella splendida Locanda di sopra e abbiamo più volte visitato la Drogheria quando per la colazione, quando per il pranzo, quando per la cena. La composizione e l’armonia dei piatti, la gentilezza e l’accoglienza dello staff di sala sono state le chicche che hanno contraddistinto la nostra esperienza. Aria di casa, panorami mozzafiato, servizio, pulizia, disponibilità generale, i costi accessibili per l’area Toscana, rendono tutto il meglio di ciò che una persona vuole trovare nel corso di un soggiorno! Complimenti a tutto il team, continuate così❣️ Ci ritorneremo!

Ristorante grazioso ai piedi della fortezza di Montalcino; presenta un ambiente accogliente e simpatico con le sue pareti decorate a tutt’altezza da bottiglie di vino. Lo chef molto bravo realizza piatti gustosi e curati che interpretano bene gli ingredienti del territorio. Peccato davvero il servizio frettoloso, non attento. Ingiustificata attribuzione - con prenotazione fatta- del peggiore tavolo di tutto il locale, sul passaggio fra ingresso e cucina (su richiesta poi cambiato, c’era ampia scelta..), comande sbagliate (ordinati due secondi portati solo uno e poi frettolosamente rimediato), ma soprattutto imperdonabile la poca professionalità nel servire il vino. A Montalcino non si può offrire un Brunello alla temperatura di un brodetto. Se si usano le bottiglie usate per decorare la sala e ci sono stati 40gradi in giornata, il vino prima di essere servito va riportato a temperatura di cantina, non deve essere il cliente a chiederti il cestello del ghiaccio .. soprattutto se ti presenti come un ristorante con bottiglie di eccellenza sulle fasce più alte di prezzi. Insomma mangiato bene ma l’esperienza e le emozioni non buone. Peccato!

Gorgeous boutique hotel, great location and topped by fab breakfast supported by a warm and friendly team. This is really a minor point, but great having a view of the castle, but did not realise when booking that the room also faced onto a small carpark!

Beautiful, clean and romantic room!! romantic escape in this splendid hotel! Excellent breakfast service and very friendly and kind staff!! Highly recommended given the wonderful location!!! The view of the fortress and the fantastic sunset are beautiful

Really an excellent experience! Rooms are beautiful, everything works well, paid parking just few meters from the room. Excellent breakfast. Thanks to the people operating the Drogheria e Locanda Franci has this place exceptionally good energy. Very nice and helping people, both in the hotel and their restaurant. Whenever we return to Montalcino, this will be our first choice!
