The furniture is old, the facilities are incomplete, and there are all kinds of inconveniences. It is totally not worth the price. Disposable slippers and kettles were provided upon request. It is said that the charge of 8,000 yuan per night makes the guests take the initiative but the service is not adequate. Apart from selling the concept of a castle, there is nothing else worth visiting. The standard of the restaurant is also very average.

Actually an amazing property location with outstanding views, sensitive restoration and additions to an ancient castle. Sets up high 5 star expectations. The reality is a disappointing. The biggest problem is the on site food service for lunch, dinner and room service. The prices for mediocre cuisine and disappointing selections are extraordinary. I had dinner the first night with my wife and both ordered 1 course plus wine which resulted in a 300 euro bill. Room service prices are equally extraordinary. I had subsequent dinners at exquisite local little trattorias for 50 to 60 euros with great menus and service. The other real challenge is the hotel provides no transportation and transportation they arrange is also beyond extraordinarily expensive. We enjoyed the setting but the property is under resourced, too isolated with a poor food service.

We could not get a tasting appointment on line so an associate said to come by at 10:30 am for just a meal. We planned our entire day to arrive at 10:30am for a meal. When we arrived, at 10:30, we were told the kitchen just closed and would be closed until noon. So this was a total bust. The reception desk said it was a mistake for the info we were given and we were “allowed” to get a coffee and enjoy it by the pool, if we paid for it. Not even complimentary for the inconvenience?? Beautiful place, but that was a fairly rude and unfortunate experience for us! VictorB

Il nostro soggiorno al castello è stato indimenticabile: una vera immersione nei sapori dei vini locali e nella bellezza del territorio. I trattamenti della spa ci hanno conquistato per la loro qualità, e il ristorante Settimo Senso ci ha regalato un'esperienza culinaria straordinaria. Un grazie speciale va allo staff, e non vediamo l'ora di tornare per vivere nuovi momenti speciali

Abbiamo soggiornato al Castello di Velona questa estate....lo scorcio che si intravede già all'arrivo, con il castello che si staglia sul promontorio , è un immagine di imponente bellezza. Non da meno sono il solenne viale d'accesso alberato ed i bellissimi locali interni, finemente ristrutturati, in modo da riportare il castello agli sfarzi di un tempo. Il ristorante Settimo Senso offre prelibate delizie culinarie; così come eccellenti sono stati i trattamenti offerti dalla Spa. Tutto lo staff si è dimostrato cordiale e gentile e pronto a soddisfare le nostre richieste. Speriamo di poter tornare presto, per poter godere di uno stacco dalla routine, coccolati dal personale e dall'atmosfera magica.

Il Castello di Velona è un posto magico, perfetto per scoprire il meraviglioso territorio circostante e i vini locali. Abbiamo provato il ristorante Settimo Senso e lo abbiamo trovato eccellente, di ottimo livello anche i trattamenti della SPA. Personale sempre gentile e disponibile. Due splenditi giorni, paesaggio da fiaba, staff sempre presente, competente e molto discreto. Abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato la zona relax e le degustazioni. Cosa dire…. Un’esperienza da ripetere per ritrovare la serenità…questa volta ero con mio marito…ma credo che ci tornerò anche con le mie amiche!

I stayed in a hotel for 3 days 2 night there were sone aunts and bucks in room but that i can understand as it is located in wildlife area overall I like the experience and recommend others to visit for better stay... Thanks full staff for your service and coordination.
