Where do I begin? We stayed for three nights for a business event. The first room we were given wasn’t cleaned when we opened the door, which was very aggravating after a long drive. I should have known we were in for a rough stay when someone came out of a nearby room and shook her head at me, saying “this f*cking place. I called down to the office and the daytime worker sighed and said he’d be right up. Instead, he intercepted my husband (he assumed, as my husband wasn’t with me at check-in), grunted the new room number at him, and handed him keys. The new room was fairly clean, but very dingy and outdated. The tub/shower was a menace, extremely high up with a peeling caution sticker that had very sharp edges. The toilet was leaky and ran loudly at frequent intervals. There was literally four sheets on the roll of toilet paper. The second and third days, we returned to our keys deactivated and needing to be reprogrammed at the desk. Housekeeping came after the second night…but did not make the beds. They left more toilet paper and a stained towel. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We slept terribly. Had I not prepaid for the room, I’d have considered sleeping in my car.
