This is my 2nd visit arranged by my employer for it's annual event and the standards are just as high as reported last time. However, simple traditional things such as room slippers, a kettle, complimentary water and a room safe are not provided. Why not? Other hotels in Canada provide all these items automatically. This combined with the old and dark room furniture and ghastly carpets are the bad points but the staff are amazing and go out of their way to help. Ricky really helped and gets a big thank you for magically providing two bottles of water. Thanks Ricky you were a saint. The food is excellent together with the wines available. This resort is linked with Adamo wine and about 1km away but there was no mention anywhere about it and the shuttle bus going there. Why not? This is crazy. Come on Hockley Valley make a few adjustments, do some updating and then you'll have a 1st class hotel in all respects.

Definitely not worth the price, and they added charges when we signed out so more than we were told in the first place. Plumbing issues in bathroom --tub did not drain and half the time the toilet did not flush. Only have two cups for coffee and two glasses for water. Also not enough towels. Very stingy. Expected better service for the price. Won't go again. Service in bar was very slow because it was understaffed and overpriced.

My room and the overall hotel appearance is very weathered/used and old and needs maintenance and upgrades to the elevators, showers and sink. I loss electricity in both my washrooms but it was fixed within the next hour. The hotel grounds needs some upkeep as well, as it's looking dated/aged. Customer service was good and answered my compliants right away. My views were relaxing and spectacular overlooking the golf course and Caledon Hills, that was the best part...nature and hearing the birds in the morning.

The front desk staff is great, as is the food and the spa. The hotel, or at least the section we were in was dated and in disrepair. Seems to be some issues with the staff. Some are fantastic and some need more training and perhaps some team building. Restaurant is pricy and service very slow. The SPA is fantastic! I can't say enough about it. Worth the trip just for that...but go home afterwards.

We had a very difficult experience at the Hockey Valley Resort. Our roof had a leak in it that woke us up during the night as it was very heavy and very loud hitting the floor of the room. I called the front desk immediately and the maintenance crew brought a bucket. That was all that was done during our weeklong stay. We emptied it each day ourselves. We were given no solutions to fix the problem. I tried multiple times to reach the front desk manager and never received a phone call back. I left messages in person and over the phone and never received any phone calls. There are also very limited options for gluten free and dairy free dietary needs at the breakfast buffet.

This was once a beautiful place to visit but she has been neglected! There was a nasty smell as soon as you walked into the lobby. The elevator sounded like a Cessna getting ready to take off. The hallways and rooms were like a sweat lodge. The Cabin restaurant wasn’t open so we went to, The Vista at the Mount Alverno Hotel (which was amazing!). The one good thing about Hockley, was the spa! Good staff and treatments but a little pricey. It would be in their best interest to bring this elegant lady back to her original glory!
