Overall a nice looking hotel with some good rooms and a very nice pool, we only spent one night here but was good, we went off season so there was only 10 people in the hotel, the food was below average once again what is it with every hotel waning to give you soup before everything dinner, the breakfast was a hard miss as it was terrible.

We loved our stay here! The staff were all great, the campus was clean and well taken care of, and our room was very nice. The restaurant breakfast and dinner buffets had a nice variety of food options as well. Watch out for monkeys in the morning - one tried to steal our cream and sugar during morning coffee on the balcony.

Booked via the internet / email with very friendly staff - the manager I had been communicating with came to say hello when we arrived which was a nice touch. Two connecting grand suites with a roof terrace were very impressive - the room assistant and various other staff made a huge effort to welcome us. Pool is nice, restaurant a la carte was good with large portions and there were large numbers of monkeys to see at breakfast by the river, which kept us all entertained. It is apparently a favourite hotel for visiting cricket teams - including Australia U19s when we were there - and there is lots of interesting cricket memorabilia in reception.

Large hotel at the gateway to Udawalawe National Park (15 minutes by car). Large and comfortable room. Good buffet dinner and breakfast, the only thing missing is fans to cool the dining room because it is hot in the evening. You can see many monkeys. The swimming pool is large and supervised.
