The apartment is beautiful, well equipped, bed is comfortable and terrace is large, with a view beyond words. What a fantastic stay! The host is extremely welcoming and a definition of great hospitality. Highly recommend!

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in questa struttura. l'appartamento era abbastanza ampio, su due piani, ma la sistemazione degli arredi ed il bagno sono assolutamente da rivedere. L'appartamento è ricavato all'interno di una casa medioevale, ristrutturata ma con diverse limitazioni legate al luogo. La vista dalla terrazza è fantastica. L'host è stata gentilissima e ci ha anche permesso di lasciare l'appartamento un giorno prima senza addebitarci il relativo costo. Il posto in se è molto bello, ma per chi arriva in auto, non esiste parcheggio e bisogna lasciare l'auto fuori dalle mura col rischio di avere danni all'auto e di non trovare parcheggio nel raggio di oltre un km.

The location of The House in the Castle in the centre of Monemvasia is of course amazing. It is on the edge of the restored part of the town which I think gives it a really great location and views. The property has been superbly restored and is well designed and very comfortable. The terrace gets very hot (as they all do in Monemvasia) but has lovely views. Our hostess, Ersi, could not have been more hospitable. The pre-arrival communication was great and she was at the town gate to meet and greet us - with a porter to take our luggage. That was quite a relief! On departure, the procedure was repeated and her charming husband, Nikos, kindly gave me a lift down the causeway to where the hire car had been parked - most welcome given the temperatures! Ersi was very responsive and helpful in assisting with some practical matters such as getting laundry done. She also sent us a very nice message after we had left. So the hospitality was superb, and designed to make your stay an absolute pleasure.

This is a town within a castle. It is very rustic and beautiful inside the castle walls. We were met by the owner, Ersi, at the entrance to the castle. She had someone there to take our luggage to our room. This was great because the inside paths are very old and rocky, everything you would expect from an ancient castle. Ersi took us to our room and explained everything about the history and renovations. Our room was three stories with a bedroom and bathroom on the bottom floor, a kitchen, living room, and bathroom on the second floor (entrance), and a bedroom and balcony on the top floor. The air conditioning worked great and Ersi had fruits, wine, and water in the refrigerator for us (extra waters on the counter). It also had high speed wifi which worked great, most of the time. (For some reason, we had an issue with it in the mornings but the owner came right over to check it out.) There are great views from the upstairs balcony and I even flew my drone from there. We loved our rooms and the entire town/experience. Upon our departure, Ersi presented us with a great bottle of local olive oil. She is one of the nicest and most accommodating owner’s/hostesses we have met in our extensive travels.

We give the highest recommendation for the house in the castle, (sptistocastro ). The accomodation was spacious, clean, thoughtful and authentic to the area. The children loved it as it was very unique. The position of the property in the castle is ideal, great views of the ocean and the castle walls. Finally the hosts Ersi and Nikos were professional and caring. Hospitality was wonderful and local knowledge was most useful. If we ever come back to Monemvasia we will definitely stay there again. Great memories!

Εξαιρετική εμπειρία από κάθε άποψη. Πεντακάθαρα δωμάτια, τρομεροί οικοδεσπότες και με φοβερή θέα την θάλασσα πιάτο στο μπαλκόνι μας. Το δίχως άλλο, ίσως η πιο μαγευτική τοποθεσία για να μείνει.κανεις στο κάστρο της Μονεμβασιάς. Όλη η εμπειρία ήταν ένα ταξίδι στο χρόνο και στην περιήγηση του κάστρου, το House in the Castle μας την προσέφερε απλόχερα, ενώ οι ιδιοκτήτες οι πιο απλοί και συνάμα φοβερά καλοτροποι άνθρωποι στον χώρο.
