We had an amazing stay at the Fazenda Nova. The house is surrounded by multi-acre property, with beautiful landscaped gardens, and fruit and olive groves. There are pools set in the garden, and numerous well-designed walking paths and rest areas under the trees.
The main house itself and the guest quarters are built according to a well-thought-through designer architectural plan, with a clever mix of traditional and modern style features. Everything is of high quality and reliable - from the furniture to fixtures and dinnerware.
All the employees are very nice, healthful, and kind. And the breakfast was amazing. One of the top two we had on this month-long trip, and the only one comparable to this one was at a historic pousada. Fruit and vegetables they serve are from their garden. My wife asked for mint tea, and to our pleasant surprise the mint was fresh from the garden.
I am sure this property if not easy to book in the high season, but in December the price was very reasonable.
In sum, we are looking forward to staying here again next year.

Un petit coin de quiétude en plaine campagne de l'Algarve, L'accueil de Joyce et Madalena est très bien, rien à redire. Notre chambre était spacieuse et lumineuse. Le jardin magnifique; le seul bémol qui a son importance, pourquoi laisser les portes ouvertes alors qu'il fait 5 degrés dehors. Nous avons pris notre petit déjeuner et dîner avec nos manteaux et bonnet. Le plus drôle est qu'il y avait un feu de bois . Je comprends que cela se fasse au beaux jours mais pas en hiver. Malgré de multiples demandes il m'a été dit que cela venait de la direction. Pour vos futurs client hivernaux, merci de dire à votre personnel de fermer les portes. Enfin, pour faire bref la restauration est à revoir, manque de produits aussi bien au petit déjeuner qu'au dîner. Néanmoins j'y reviendrai avec plaisir mais très certainement à d'autres dates....... , Muito Obrigado Madalena et Joyce pour votre gentillesse

Un hôtel exceptionnel
Lieu exceptionnel, un véritable havre de paix a taille humaine dans un cadre somptueux, entouré d'oliviers et décoré avec soin. Le personnel est très accueillant et serviable, la piscine et le grand jardin sont très agréables. Un lieu idéal pour se relaxer, profiter du soleil et prendre du temps pour soi Une voiture est toutefois nécessaire pour tous les déplacements hors de l'hôtel.

A wonderful place to stay. Wonderful gardens, very tranquil rural setting, and yet a quick run to the coast or into Faro. Lovely helpful staff, super-efficient, great spacious rooms with pretty large private terrace areas, and at very good value (off-season). And as a vegan, every dinner a delicious surprise, which after 10 days of tasteless soggy food in Paris was a delight. Will be coming back with my wife next time. Only easy-to-fix minor criticism : dining room needs more atmospheric lighting, and more attention to outdoor dining area.

Très bel établissement dans la campagne de l’Algarve. Chambres et salle de bains spacieuses bien équipées. Les lits très confortables. La notre avait une petit terrasse sur le jardin pratique quand on a des chiens car les chiens sont acceptés sans supplément . Petit déjeuner très copieux. Le soir on peut dîner sur réservation à un prix correct. Espace piscine avec grands lits . Nous y avons passé 3 nuits très agréables On y reviendra. Alain et Jean Marc

We had a relaxing and easy going stay with delicious fresh food and friendly service. Our garden room was elegant, well appointed and spacious; the private garden was lovely and with plenty of garden furniture. There is a contemporary feel to decor and furnishings with a laid back feel to the whole place. The pool and landscaping are excellent. We had stayed here over 10 years ago and loved it- it's even more special now.
