The hotel is full of tennis players which being one I don't have a problem with apart from them being dressed in the same sweaty clothing from breakfast through to dinner. Let's face it you're on holiday & it's nice to be casual but I'd expect a dress code for dinner & no tennis shorts & baseball caps. As you walk into the restaurant it's littered with tennis bags at all times ,quite why the hotel hasn't built racks or used the seating area opposite I don't know. The staff are so helpful friendly & work really hard.I did find it unacceptable that the restaurant manager Achraf Ghedira would eat cakes from the buffet with his hands in full view of the customers, march up & down on his phone which is unprofessional & not setting an example to other staff. .He would frequently shout at waiters which was unnecessary as they were working hard. The reception bar has no atmosphere & resembles an airport waiting lounge. The beach restaurant is lovely relaxed & well worth a visit as is the Tunisian dining experience.. It's refreshing not to have to worry about putting out towels to get your spot by the pool as beds are plentiful. It might have been due to end of season but there are also lots of seating near the water slides.. Not a lot to see at Montasir & we were told by the rep that shopping was limited but hadn't realised exactly how small it is.Sousse is busy & worth a look for those that like the markets. The food in the hotel is pretty much the same every day ,a lot of choice but nothing really memorable but you won't go hungry. The hotel is tired & only really a 3 star.

Good things: Pool areas are great. Loungers are comfortable. Hotel is clean, cleaners work so hard. Some waiters are friendly. Mini disco is good but wished it was earlier. Beach area just outside the hotel is nice but walk 100m to the left or right it's not clean. Some of the buffet was good but the food gave me diarrhea and serious stomach cramps. I've never experienced anything like it before and have traveled and eaten in many countries. Lovely donuts at 4pm though. Lovely ice cream bar also. Bad things: Drinks are awful. Wine is like vinegar and the beer isn't the best. We tipped a friendly waiter to make us decent moijitoes but he wasn't always available. There's nothing outside the hotel and its so run down. Not one shop or supermarket. Monastir is a train ride away but it's so busy with traffic, with so much litter lying around. Not pleasant. We couldn't find any supermarkets selling alcohol there. No nice bars or decent restaurants, a very poor run down place. The kids club was a real let down for us. It is not tui run, it's run by the hotel. I walked in unchecked with my daughter, through a side door which took us out to a small swimming pool and park. There were no adults supervising this space with the pool and this space opens out to the front gate of the hotel and the car park. Meaning anyone could walk in or out of the kids club. Children could wander out to the road. There was one adult supervising the 6 children there but she was busy face painting not able to watch the open body of water or to manage who was coming in or out. I went to the tui rep about this and he directed me to the customer relations woman. Instead of taking on my complaint himself. The woman said she would look into the side door being open but regards the security issues she just said that none of the guests would go in and my daughter is 10 so she knows not to leave. That wasn't my point. The space is not secure. She wasn't able to explain how younger kids would be safe guarded. Our room smelled damp and was a little run down. Waiters at the reception bar were rude at times. I found the behaviour of a couple of the staff inappropriate. A lifeguard was touching a lady on her legs as she was lying sunbathing, another life guard asked an 11 year old girl if he could give her a cuddle and made her feel uncomfortable. I'm a 44 year old woman and the guy working the sandwich bar was trying to chat me up. He was in his 20s, so weird, made me feel uncomfortable. One particular member of the entertainment team was a pest annoying people by the pool. Most people took this as fun but I would have been mortified. I sat nervous he would approach me for about 20mins until he moved on. The gym is so busy with tennis players so there's not a lot of space for other guests to use the weights. The door to the gym is opened to the outside so it gets warm. Please don't book here if you are looking for quality All Inclusive, with a safe kids club and a nice restaurants/area

Lovely hotel for families. Very clean and tidy. Room service is excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great. Entertainment staff were exceptionally good and inclusive. Special shout out to the Lovely customer services manager and Alladin, our rep was great. However, if you are looking forward to having some lovely cocktails, then don't bother. It has to be the worst holiday cocktails I have ever experienced

Superb AI experience. Whilst I’ve stayed in some fancier hotels this was a really enjoyable experience. The staff. I’ve never come across such extraordinary customer service. Nothing was too much trouble. So friendly. So genuine. The TUI rep Aladdin was exceptional. Best rep I’ve ever come across. So helpful. Gets you good deals. Very friendly The food. Probably the best food I’ve had at an AI. All tasty, hot and plenty of choice. Good labelling for the vegetarian in our party. The pools. One with slides and water polo and music for the kids. One ‘relax’ pool which was lovely and quite for the rest of us. The beach. So clean - sand and water. Plenty of sun beds. Our room. We had a 2 bedroom duplex which was large and roomy and the beds were comfortable The trips - we did the 2 day Sahara trip which was outstanding and the Carthage trip and Zoolo Night which were both excellent. The mix of these trips enabled us to really see and appreciate this beautiful country. Two small negatives: The choice of drinks at the bars could be improved. The local area isn’t very nice.

We were there for almost 2 weeks Food and entertainment very good. The resort is huge and the staff are hard working, friendly and professional. Guests are valued and well looked after by everyone. I would definitely recommend the hotel if you want a relaxing pool/beach holiday in the sun. The resort is not within easy walking to Monastir but there are cheap buses available on the main road as well as the option of catching a train not far from the resort. We didn't use the train so can't comment on it. Taxis are available and relatively cheap by UK standards but always agree a price before getting in. The guests at the hotel were from all over Europe and well behaved. No rowdy or boorish behaviour while we were there. Overall, a good holiday.

We have just got back from a week here and it definitely didn’t disappoint, after reading some of the reviews I got a little bit worried but I definitely did not need to be. To start our transfer there by coach was 90 minutes with 4 drop offs before us a bit longer than I like but wasn’t a big deal. We arrived at lunch time and our room was ready for us we filled out the paperwork and payed the tourist tax and the deposit for our towels then we were shown to our room by one of the members of staff who brought our cases. We opted for a family room with balcony there was plenty of space it was clean don’t get me wrong it was nothing flash but absolutely nothing wrong with the room at all, we were on the ground floor just off from where the main dining hall is which was a little bit of an issue for the noise late on as I had a 3 year old with me it did often wake her so if you like quiet try to get a room further away from the main areas. The food was absolutely fine we just ate in the main buffet restaurant, the sandwich bar and the beachfront restaurant and I couldn’t fault any of them plenty of choice for everyone. The pools were brilliant and so clean you can choose between loud, energetic and buzzing with the water slide pools or chilled and quiet at the other pool we did days of both including the beach which was so lovely and clean. The staff were absolutely faultless so friendly and polite they are an absolute credit to your establishment they work tirelessly to keep the place so clean and to make sure you have what you want and need absolutely 10 stars for all of them. The animation team were fab we didn’t really have too much dealings apart from mini disco time which my little girl loved but I watched them and they seemed fab friendly and so so energetic I was exhausted just watching them. The lifeguards I mean what can I say nobody was going to come unstuck with them about they were so switched on and observant, as much as I never left my little girl alone I was so confident that nothing would occur they do a super job well done to them, they were also super friendly and great with the kids. Honestly I don’t really have anything bad to say about this hotel except get private transfers if you can our return transfer was 2 hours and we had 6 pickups. I would have no reservations about returning here thank you to all the staff too service from all.

Overall, a good experience. We were there for almost 2 weeks and the food and entertainment, although good, started to feel repetitive. The resort is huge and the staff are hard working, friendly and professional. The beach is a bit narrow and crowded compared to the one in Hamamet Sud (our previous Tunisian holiday). The main outdoor pool has loud music playing most of the day. Nothing is within easy walking distance and taxis outside the hotel are expensive compared to ones we've taken in other areas of Tunisia There are long queues at the fried eggs/omelette station at breakfast times. Apart from these minor negatives, a great place to holiday.

Really nice hotel. Very clean and tidy. All staff we came into contact with were pleasant, especially the restaurant staff, very attentive without being over the top. Rooms are a little dated, but cleaned daily with fresh towels. Hairdryer is terrible, take your own. Themed nights in the restaurant, some of the dishes are repetitive just with a different name however some of the best AI food we have had. Always hot and tasty. Doughnuts on an afternoon between 4&5 are delicious. Sandwich station at the beach is also a great idea. Beach snack bar is a nice setting and the food is cooked on order so you may have a bit of a wait, but it is worth it as everything we had was delicious and good portions. The only downside for us was the bar areas. We like to sit and have a drink late afternoon before heading back to the room to get changed and felt the pool bar and beach bar didn't really have the right setting and the main lounge bar inside was not very inviting and drinks are not great. Small shop on site with a good range of items. Money exchange at reception (only change small amounts as you cant change it back in the hotel) and a good towel system, you can change your towel as many times as you wish. Loads of mosquitos so take some repellant/after bite. Beach area is lovely. Relax pool was good, we never sat around the main pool with the slides as music was very loud. We took the train into Monastir which was really straightforward and so cheap. You will be hassled in the main town, I'm used to it as we go to Turkey quite a bit but this was far worse and I don't think I would go again. A lot of tennis players in the hotel. They never bothered us and we spent a couple of mornings watching them play. If you booked through Tui, Aladdin is the best rep I have ever come across and please attend the welcome meeting as he will give you information you need to know if you go outside of the hotel. All in all a great relaxing holiday. We probably wouldn't return but only because we like to go to different places/hotels but I would definitely recommend.

We booked with TUI , from date of travel to our return , everything was organised for us . Cannot fault any bit of our stay . Whilst at the resort all the staff took top class care for us , nothing was an issue for them . Catering team to waiters at the diner were superb . The animation team , have to name them as they were superb , taking every opportunity to make us all feel so welcome and the games / white party they had organised were second to none . Their names : Alice Jess ( chef ) Abraham ( dj) Obama Lorenzo Luji Emy Nelly Rio Hannibal All were brilliant , 5* plus . I would certainly recommend going to this resort , we certainly will be going again . Thank you all , especially the names above who are the animation team .
