Unfortunately had a very poor experience on this stay. As a family, had been a few times before and it was always a great stay. This time however, it was very obvious that standards have dropped dramatically. When checking in, we were told we could not book a table in the bar for dinner as it was walk ins only. We did not see this as a problem, so were advised we could book a table in the restaurant which was to be the same menu. Unfortunately it was not the same menu, it only had 4 dinner options on it. When arriving to the restaurant we were 'greeted' by a lady, who's first words were 'we are very busy, you will have to wait'. She did not even ask had we a table booked, which we had done. After being seated, we then waited 15 mins before someone came and took a drinks order. That same drinks order then did not arrive for a further 25 mins, after I asked a waitress where it was. But it was about to get much worse. We had ordered 2 kids dinners and had asked they would come out ASAP as the kids were hungry. Dinner then arrived over an hour after we ordered. What landed at the table was nothing short of a disgrace, the baby bowl was stone cold, the kids pasta was lukewarm at best in parts and cold in others. Adults goujons were overcooked, the chips were somehow undercooked and some were raw. The salmon came with freezing cold vegetables and the beef came cold as well. Mains were sent back and 20 mins later they came back out but what had been done was they were either placed back in the oven or stuck in the microwave. It was shockingly bad service and as said previously, standards have simply dropped. After pleading our case with the manager he said he would take 40 euro off the 150 euro bill. I then said this was simply not good enough so we got the food totally taken off the bill and just paid drinks. It is safe to say we will not be returning. This hotel is no longer a 4 star, far from. The food was SHOCKING.
