I had my Hen Party here the weekend of the February bank holiday. The Hillgrove pulled out all the stops. The bottomless brunch is something I would definitely recommend for any hen party. It’s a relaxing and an enjoyable experience to have with a bunch of people. The pizzas and drinks were also very well put together for this. They also organise a dance teacher for a hen party group. The dance teacher was very good and taught us a dance from a song of our own choice. The evening food was also very nice and plenty of choice for everyone. They were very busy but the service was superb. The workers were attentive and caring throughout the day and evening. Thank you to the Hillgrove! A weekend to remember!

I used the gym and spa and facilities were very good. I also had a treatment which was very relaxing. Food in the bar was of a very high standard and breakfast was also very good. My room was spacious and comfortable. Overall I had a great experience.

Stayed with the Hillgrove team many times over the last 20 years for business. Hadn’t been with them recently but stayed there in Jan ‘25 with three other work colleagues. Two of the team used the spa and pool and really enjoyed the unwind and we all ate in the restaurant which was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff, warm and comfortable rooms (very frosty/ snowy night) and a great location! Btw, I’d lost and forgotten an old mp3 player behind me when I departed but the team found it and got it back to me safe n sound. Really appreciate it! Will use and recommend without hesitation.

The Hillgrove Hotel was the perfect place to organise my friends hen party weekend. There were 27 of us in total and the team at Hillgrove made the booking process so easy from start to finish. The food was great and the spa and treatments were exceptional. Would 100% recommend and really good value for money.

My friend and I had a fabulous time at the Spa in the Hillgrove hotel in Monaghan. The staff were friendly, well trained and helpful. The massage I had was delightful and soothing, provided by a very capable masseuse. The facilities had a lovely atmosphere and were very clean and the relaxation room was thoughtfully provided with tea, water , fruit, juice or proseco.....we will definitely go again.

The hotel was first class,and the only complaint i have was the black stains at the reception area,it takes away from the rest of the hotel which is spotless.

The worst "spa" retreat I've ever stayed at. Booked as relaxing night before returning to work. The place was like a kids jungle gym. kids everywhere running about up til 12 at night then 6am. Came out of room to be faced by nappy in the corridor. Told I didn't need to book for evening meal only to be made wait in freezing lobby until table was ready. They had a dinner- dance on and obviously over stretched themselves. next morning huge queue for breakfast, when got in to be faced with people pawing food. was told general management would be in touch but nothing heard.
