We booked Sunday lunch for the family we all have young kids so we got a room to keep everyone together and kids could play without making noise on other guests , Sharon was very accommodating with the booking and offered us a great service and food was delicious we will definitely be back

Hi, I just want to say that I was at a wedding in the Hillgrove hotel on 14.08.25. Staff where very pleasant and done their best. Molly the supervisor was absolutely brilliant, she definitely needs a pay rise, she was such joy to talk to and would have done anything for our party. I hope she gets promoted. Thank you Hillgrove for a lovely wedding day for my brother and his wife.

This hotel is great for families. We stayed here for one night on our way to Donegal, to break the journey up a bit. The location is excellent. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the have lovely rooms, a great swimming pool and a great breakfast. Our bedroom was a sensory room so there was a projector and coloured lights, which the kids loved. The children's menu for dinner had lots of choices and in the morning, they were delighted to find a pancake machine which they could operate themselves. Also, there was a wedding in the hotel while we were there and I was worried we would be disturbed by the noise but we didn't hear a peep! There was a kids club running - we didn't avail of it because we were there for such a short time, but it looked great!

We held our christening meal here and I cannot speak highly enough about the service in the lead up to the event and the staff that were looking after us on the day itself. The staff also decorated the Andy Suite for us in balloons and bunting which was a great help the evening before. We opted for a hot finger buffet and there were compliments about the food.

We would just like to say a big thank you to the two lovely women working on reception from Monday - Wednesday this week. They were very friendly, welcoming & accommodating. My little boy has Autism & ADHD and they were very understanding of the situation. I asked about kids club for him and we were reassured he would be fine and could attend and he ended up having a brilliant time, he loved it! This is our 4th time staying however our first where our son was old enough for kids club and since his diagnosis. We were able to move to the sensory room on Tuesday and it was amazing, it was a big hit for our son. From the staff, rooms, cleanliness to the bar staff and food - everything was amazing. A very child friendly hotel we would recommend to anyone. I would just like to say a thank you to the girls running the kids club too they were great with all the kids and gave us great reassurance. Very friendly & approachable. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

We celebrated a 60th Wedding Anniversary at the Hillgrove Hotel. It was a fabulous hotel for our large family from small children to older adults. The lovely staff were very helpful and organised and catered for this so well.

We stayed at the Hillgrove Hotel for one night only during a short tour of Ireland. The hotel is situated in a lovely setting. The staff we dealt with at reception, the bar, the food service, the leisure centre were all very pleasant and professional. We felt very welcome and following the completion of our tour we both commented to each other how great our stay was. We are genuinely grateful to the hotel management and staff for exceeding our expectations by a long way. We plan to visit again on any future trips to Ireland. Top class hotel that is well worth staying at.

Cannot fault this hotel, from check in to cleanliness and friendly staff. We arrived as a family of four and the goodie bags the children received and the lay out of large spacious rooms was amazing. Kids club which we were not expecting was fabulous and well organized. We ate in the restaurant that evening and could not fault the food or service at all especially as it was extremely busy, kids portions were so good also for the cost. Swimming area and spa was so relaxing and for the amount of people staying we thought it would have been chaos but this was not the case. Breakfast the next morning was beautiful and such a variety. Will definitely be back.

We live in the United States and my cousins from Monaghan recommended the Hillgrove. We come with extended family, and the Hillgrove offers accommodations for each family to have their own room. Their rooms can accommodate a family of four easily. Their rooms are very clean and well maintained. There is a breakfast that is included and it serves a variety of breakfast food including hot dishes. Their staff is very friendly. There is a beautiful walking path close by along with some stores and restaurants. A great place for families to stay as well as couples or singles. When we go to Monaghan this is where we will stay!
