I had a fantastic stay at Bannisters by the sea. It is probably the best option in the area. Restaurant by Rickstein offers freshly made Australian cuisine. Cocktails are delicious too.

This was perfect for a relaxing break. I fell asleep in the very comfortable bed listening to the water. Watched the sunrise over the ocean from by balcony, listened to the kookaburras in the trees by the water, and was visited by magpies who landed beside me on the day bed. I ate amazing food while drinking cocktails by the pool and in the Rick Stein restaurant. It was exactly what I hoped it would be.

This place was absolutely disappointing. The food was so overpriced poorly presented and no flavour. Such a let down . The room was bizarre with the loo in the shower……and the so called trundle bed was a camp stretcher. The only good thing about the place was the day spa. Don’t waste your money people.

We had an amazing couples get away at Bannisters, excellent service on the room, dining and day spa. Beautiful room with a view, waking to sunrise and bird song. Highlight from the dining was the scallop entree and the rum and raisin twist on an affagto with the best biscotti

Our third stay at Bannisters and as always, a perfect break. Spotless room and bathroom (love the heated floor!), great ocean views and lulled to sleep by the waves (boy was the sea rough). We appreciated the safe, the quality bed, decent TV and the quiet and effective a/c. Breakfasts are first class in every way (good choice, hot, fresh and timely delivery - and excellent coffee). We enjoyed the Pool restaurant (and a great pizza)....and of course we just loved every aspect of our special dinner in Rick Stein's restaurant (reviewed separately). Can't wait for next year.

We stayed with friends and unfortunately found the three nights underwhelming. The rooms were not cleaned properly each day- bed was made and towels changed - but it was not vacuumed and glasses went unwashed. The beds however were very comfortable. The design of the toilet in the shower is very odd and the smell of mildew evident in bathroom. We kept the fan on for the whole of our stay. Plastic chairs on balcony were uncomfortable and well below what you would expect at this price. Restaurant meal was excellent for our dinner but let down with an average breakfast. I would advise to book dinner in the restaurant but stay elsewhere.

We recently spent two nights at Bannisters by the Sea, Mollymook. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is something special! The staff were absolutely beautiful - warm, friendly & genuinely attentive. Their Hospitality was effortless & sincere. The setting itself is breath taking. We stayed in an First floor luxury suite with uninterrupted sea views. Interiors were modest & tasteful. But the true stand out was the Food! Every meal was fantastic. All 3 venues had something different to offer which was great. And the courtesy shuttle between their 2 Hotels was much appreciated! We left feeling relaxed & spoilt - We will be back!
