Hospedium Hotel Continental

We have been coming to this hotel for the last 5 years. It’s still a very good hotel but appears to be under new management. The has been some changes from previous years. Gone is the fresh orange juice at breakfast replaced by a carton juice resembling orange Gone is the freshly made coffee replaced by a vending machine Gone are the majority of staff that recognise repeat customers (of which there are many ) replaced by younger members (presumably cheaper) A senior member of staff glued to his laptop chain smokes at the front door and in the restaurant terrace that displays no smoking signs. Customers moving to find a smoke free area. However this hotel is still great value for money but with a pending price increase and allowing standards to drop they are in great danger of losing many repeat clients and the great reputation this hotel had

This is a great hotel located right on the beach. Hotels are no longer allowed to be built on the beach side in Mojacar so this is the only one (I’m aware of) due to it being built many years ago. The hotel is old, yet has been modernised with stylish and contemporary designs and finishes. There’s still room for improvement, such as the soil border between the restaurant and the beach hasn’t been planted and other minor things, but the stunning location far outweighs any negatives. We really enjoyed having a G &T on the hotel terrace watching the windsurfers and paraglide, kiteboarders. Our room and large balcony was right on the beach and had everything you could want, including an extremely comfortable bed. We fell asleep and woke up in the morning to sound of the sea, absolutely beautiful. The view of sunset and especially the moonlight on the ocean from the hotel is also beautiful. The restaurant, again right on the beach, serves a delicious breakfast with freshly cooked options, freshly squeezed orange juice, full barista coffee to order and everything you could want including healthy options. We always had an extra coffee after breakfast because the location is so nice. The hotel also offers meals and snacks throughout the day. The pool area has been recently refurbished and drinks from the bar are served there. We had no problem getting sun beds etc during our stay in June. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to visiting the Hospedium Hotel Continental again in future. Highly recommended.

We arrived at the hotel and the staff are very efficient and we checked in quick The hotel is in the middle of Mojacar playa and a mini port called garrucha which is being renovated it will be amazing when finished We had room number 123 which is the best room in the hotel with a balcony and a window with veiws all round of the sea which is breathtaking every morning day and night There is a mini fridge in room And breakfast every morning was a joy to see smiley rhoda who is the waitress she is such a credit to the hotel They had a underground club night on Friday and Saturday in the grounds But was not to loud and it looked packed on both nights we never went there so cannot comment but heard it’s a good nights There is a small supermarket outside if you turn right and opposite it’s not far down Thank you for a lovely weeks break we really enjoyed it Grab your towels for the pool off of the receptionist but it’s very hot out to sit all day And ask for the small tapas if you purchase a drink

Lovely hotel, spotless and at the right price. Lovely bedding and bathroom towels. Just couldn’t fault it. One tip, if staying more than one night pay to have sea view. Breakfast was really enjoyable, great selection of meat and fruit, or full English.

Excellent value for money. Rooms large well equipped, and very nice balcony. Restaurant only open for breakfast , which was very good, as out of season, but nice restaurants nearby .Lovely staff . Stopped just for one night but will definitely be back.

Lovely little hotel by the sea, very fresh and modern rooms with a lovely continental breakfast or a small cooked to order. decent size fridge but no kettle although this was supplied very quickly when requested. Unfortunately my room was directly over the entrance so a little noisy at night, my only real gripe though was that the walls are paper thin and i could hear everything in the room next door!
