Spent a lovely, relaxing couple of hours walking around the very well tended gardens and enjoying coffee in one of the luxurious sitting areas overlooking the lake. Very courteous and attentive staff all around. Hopefully spend longer on another visit.

We had a nice 2 nights family stay at the Lough Rynn Castle. Rooms clean and tidy with plenty of towels and toiletries. Food in the restaurant on both nights was excellent... and the staff where very helpful! The grounds are beautiful and the gardens are a must see!

I attended Lough recently. The receptionist on check in was not one bit friendly and when she was questioned about location of our room she briefly replied as if annoyed that she was questioned. It was 30 degrees in the room, I couldn’t open the windows and the air conditioning panel was not working. I explained this matter to the same receptionist and asked for a fan. She informed me that all fans were already giving out and she would get someone to look at the window, I later asked if the problem had been fixed to a reply that it was extreme weather conditions that was out of her control. The duty manager called to say he had been up in the room, that he got the windows open and left a fan in my room as the room was very hot. All was sorted until the receptionist called back 5 minutes after to confront me that “I was wrong that the windows wouldn’t open” in a patronizing manner..This was extremely rude and unprofessional. Such a pity as all other staff members were friendly and extremely helpful.

After storm ouwin we decided to treat ourselves to a Sunday lunch here as our power was still off, the lunch is not cheap for a 3 course meal the estate and castle itself is beautiful and most of the staff there are pleasant, my roast dinner was luke warm and not tasty at all I sent it back immediately and the waiter took it back to the kitchen I have no idea what they did to improve it as it came back as completely the same plate of cold food they had placed in front of me previously, so I sent it back again and told them not to bother with another dinner at this time I was fed up so I ordered a liqueur coffee instead of my dessert, when we went to pay the bill nothing was taken off so we again had to explain about my cold main course, then they only took my main course off the bill which shocked me as if I had been the restaurant manager I wouldn't have charge me with anything my husbands dinner was average he didn't enjoy it and he found it luke warm too. I do not recommend this place for food at all .

We decided to take an impromptu break on short notice and decided on Lough Rynn Castle. Our stay was really great from check in to departure. We had a lovely chat in the bar with friendly staff, and then went into the restaurant for a great dinner. I don't eat meat and had great vegetarian options to choose from. The room was stunning - large and spacious, well designed with all the comforts you would want. If you visit, please make time to walk around the gardens, they are breathtaking and looked after by a wonderful team of knowledgeable landscapers let by Mini who has a fountain of knowledge. Well worth the short drive from Dublin.

Old school charm without fuss. The suite was fabulous, spacious and supremely comfortable. The staff are very helpful and professional, even when under pressure. The restaurant food is excellent but the dining room is a little oppressively closed off by the design which is a great shame. The bar dining was very up to scratch. Breakfast is a bit confusing so ask the staff what the options are. We needed r and r and certainly found it here.

Upon arrival the hotel was outdated, carpet needs to be replaced and it needs to be painted. The air con in the room wasn't working. The dinner was just alright. The breakfast was cold and inedible. When checking out the manager argued with my husband regarding the price and couldn't find the confirmation email. They finally agreed on the original price. I would not recommend!
