My partner and I booked the Star for one night on our way home from Yorkshire to Scotland. After letting staff know about a small problem with a toilet extractor fan, we were immediately moved to another room by the lovely owner Alison. We booked dinner in the upstairs restaurant. It was great and very affordable. The bar/waiting staff were attentive, without being intrusive. The full Scottish breakfast is amazing. We had a friendly relaxed chat with Alison again at breakfast.
