Hi 4 of us had a good 2 course meal here tonight .The Haggis Neeps and Tatties were the best I had outside my own home .The lamb my wife had was good and the other couple enjoyed theirs.All the food was as it should be and staff attentive, a good experience all told.

We stayed one night whilst travelling up to the North West Highlands. The hotel was great for a stopover and the food for dinner and breakfast was good. We especially appreciated my adult daughter being able to order a kid’s burger as she was not very hungry.

Stayed here over 10 years ago as a stop off to Edinburgh and happy to return. Convenient location off the motorway, fabulous free parking outside the door. Lovely village setting. The staff are friendly and accommodating, lovely atmosphere. Well appointed room with sofa & TV, en suite shower room / toilet. Breakfast included in the reasonable price.

Visited Balmoral Hotel in Moffat for our Dinner before we checked in to our Cottage for the week and we (my Partner and I) were greeted by very friendly staff who served us quickly and efficiently. The Dining Area is a decent size but it was not busy at all so we could choose where we wanted to sit. The Menu provided was your classic Scottish Pub Menu at brilliant prices. My Partner had the Double Cheeseburger and I had the Lasagne, portion sizes were brilliant and the food was cooked freshly and tasted homemade! We would eat and drink here again as the atmosphere was very welcoming and everyone was so friendly.

We used the restaurant four times during our stay in Moffat. The meals were always well cooked and presented. The portions were perfect for us, not too huge. A great choice and very affordable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Well done guys!

Stayed for one night to go walking in area. Upgraded to superior room but was actually 2 rooms, sofa, large tv and best of all a big box of complimentary chocolates..plus soft drinks. Very comfortable and super shower with soft robes provided. Had couple of drinks in garden in lovely evening sunshine. Dinner was incredible..beautiful prawn cocktails, I opted for beef stroganoff and portion was huge with beautiful chunks of beef. Excellent fresh cooked breakfast and fab choice. Highly recommend a stay.

2nd time at this hotel. Love everything about it..especially room 2! Food was excellent, staff friendly! Parking no problems, and 11am check out. Will be back.

Popped in as they were advertising a fish tea very reasonable including tea, bread and butter. We had the breaded fish and the portions were more than enough could not finish it . Lovely friendly staff will definitely go back when down in Moffat
