Reistijd een kleine 4 uur vanaf Johannesburg inclusief een tussenstop voor wat te drinken en inkopen te doen. Hele mooie game reserve met vriendelijke staff, uitstekend eten. We werden met 3 personen upgraded naar een groot type huis van alle gemakken voorzien. Hier 3 nachten verbleven. ´s Ochtends vroeg en aan het eind van de dag game drives met uitstekende en vriendelijke gids. Tussendoor lunch en uitrusten aan het zwembad. Het grote voordeel van Kololo is dat de game drives niet zo massaal zijn als in andere parken en dat je vaak alleen bent met je eigen gezelschap. Een paar keer ontmoet je een andere Jeep tijdens de drives.

If you want to enjoy a great safari, you must go to Kololo. A great team, super location. We enjoyed it much more then Kruger

We stayed here a few days during a three week trip through South-Africa and Botswana in July and August. It’s next to one of the entrances to the reserve. Our accommodation was large and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and the food was nice. The guides told us it’s difficult to spot game as the reserve is so wide-stretched and cars cannot go off-road, so we were lucky seeing cheeta’s and lions. There are also many rhinos and jackals. The reserve has beautiful and varied nature. The lodge is apparently Dutch owned; while we visited all guests were Dutch, and the majority of the lodge were Dutch KLM crew (also announced as such on every occasion); apparently KLM has some kind of deal with this lodge. They were quite dominant in the lodge and during the game drives, which we found unpleasant, also for our younger children. Other families felt the same. We made the best of it, but would not return because of this.

Staff is very welcoming. Braai at the home on Saturday night is a must. Reserve is beautiful, amazing sceneries and experienced ranger. Chalets are spacious, very comfy and far from each other. 2 walking trails on the premises give you the feeling you are alone Recommend it 100%

We had a wonderful stay at Kololo! What a perfect spot, next to Welgevonden Park! Beautiful chalets, small and big and very appropriate for groups as well. The swimming pool and bikes were splendid as well. And last but not least the very friendly staff (of resort and game drives) will make us remember our visit for a very long time!

What a fantastic lodge! Great service and great atmosphere overall! Game drives were really fun and a great way to learn about the animals as well. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us all kinds of facts about the reserve and animals. Will visit again.

We so much enjoyed our 3rd stay at Kololo! Great staff, beautiful room, excellent food and amazing gamedrives. A must see, just 4 hrs from OR Tambo. For couples, but also with kids. The attention from every single member of the staff makes you feel a king/queen.
