Spacious well appointed cabin alongside river is lovely with a great view of the river and mountain. However they should not be offering any food and beverage options until they complete their renovation. Poorly executed with unmotivated staff and limited options in a makeshift facility does not meet the $$$ rate. Website does not disclose the extent of the renovation and lack of options in the area- 30 mins from downtown Moab. And filtering reviews on the Bonvoy website too which would otherwise indicate the same dissatisfaction and alert potential guests.

We had the same experience as the previous reviewer. Red Cliffs Lodge was pretty disorganized. Reception and dining room were closed for remodeling. So reception was in an outbuilding, no real problem. We were given a beautiful, newly remodeled room. The problems began when it was time for dinner. Due to the construction, the "restaurant" was in a building that is for Bronco Off-Roadeo. The menu was extremely limited. I asked for a wine list and was told they don't serve alcohol. What?!? I realize it's Utah, but the lodge is 14 miles from town, and there are no other stores or restaurants nearby. So, no wine, extremely limited menu, and multiple TVs on the walls hyping Bronco Off-Roadeo. Breakfast was the same. There was an employee in the Bronco building who looked like he slept in his clothes, shirt unbuttoned most way, wrinkled. Ick. Not what we're used to in a Marriott property, no matter how rural or casual. We left after one night. The funniest thing was that we were charged $20 for parking. There was enough room there for hundreds of cars. It wasn't even a paved parking lot - just dirt, grass and gravel. Ou bill was for over $418. The location is magnificent. The room was spotless (thank you, housekeeping).. It's just very disorganized and poorly run.

Our experience was overall disappointing. The main lodge was closed due to construction — something that was never communicated to us before arrival/during booking. The property sits about 30 minutes outside of Moab town. While the setting is scenic, being so far out means limited convenience. With the lodge closed, eating options were almost nonexistent — only one makeshift restaurant was available, and it did not reflect the charm or hospitality you’d expect from a destination at this price point. The lodge itself has potential for a true western country vibe, but right now there’s a lack of charm, service, and upkeep. The pool technically exists, yet the lounge area is run-down and in need of a serious refresh. It’s honestly confusing what this hotel is trying to be — a resort, a rustic lodge, or something else entirely. Adding to the frustration, they charge $20 for parking even though there’s endless space around (and active construction happening). We booked rooms advertised as having “pasture/creek side views.” In reality, there is no view, rather a motel 6 vibe from the parking lot. It felt misleading compared to what was represented when booking. When you’re paying upward of $400 per night, you expect a much higher standard — communication, service, and authenticity. Unfortunately, what was promised and what was delivered were completely unmatched.

My husband and I loved this lodge and it’s going to get better with their new building. The drive there by the Colorado River is breathtaking. Staff was friendly and breakfast was very good. Room was excellent! Great shower and soft beds. Walk out to quiet of nature (except for the ac making noise). It’s two levels with a kitchenette

Stunning location, can’t imagine how beautiful it will be when the main lodge renovation is complete. Our room was completely renovated, gorgeous and thoughtfully done. We had a spectacular view of the Colorado River and areas of Arches National Park along with the absolutely spectacular drive on the Scenic Bypass. 10 out of 10.

The resort is located at a stunning place. The room was really nice. The management adviced us that reception area was closed for refurbishment. What I found frustrating was that the only restaurant open in the resort had a very limited menu for dinner, and no alcohol served. Just a beer after the whole day hiking looking at the sunset would have been perfect…but no way. And you are far from Moab. So do not expect much from the place regarding food and drinks. It’s a pity, since the place is not cheap at all.

Beautiful location!!! Quiet, peaceful, and you can invasion yourself being in any cowboy movie when you are standing by the river looking at the gorgeous red cliffs.

We loved this property even with the ongoing construction. It’s outside of Moab - maybe 15 miles - down a road that parallels the Colorado River - outstanding drive. Bring food or eat at the minimalist restaurant. The rooms are spectacular and overlook the river and cliffs. Great private patio perfect for stargazing. The restaurant is good enough to get you by, that’s not why you go here. They do charge $20 for parking, but on my bill, that was reversed, which only seemed right. We were on a schedule, next time I’d stay 2-3 nights and relax.
