The Rescape

The resort is close to the airport and the access road is narrow, so it has an extraordinary and hideaway atmosphere. I was worried because there were many negative reviews, but there were no major issues. However, when I arrived at the room, there was a sewage smell. I think the water in the trap had evaporated. If they were more careful about this and managed the facilities, I think there would be fewer complaints. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the sofa seat cushions tend to slip out of place, which is frustrating. I hope they improve this. Prices fluctuate a lot, so I'll make a reservation at a reasonable price, and if possible, I'd like a better value for money. It's a shame that there are few food options.

We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included in the latter half of July. All three breakfasts had different menus, and on the last night we had shabu-shabu in our room.・There was a corner where you can make your own bath salts.・Meals Both meals were well thought out and made with local ingredients, and were very delicious. I think it would be good if the coffee and tea at breakfast could be improved a little. It would also be helpful if you could check the glasses and plates used during dinner in your room when you clean the room that day.・Room The room was very comfortable and the location of the air conditioner was well thought out. The bathtub in the room is even more comfortable with a bath pillow. The refrigerator wasn't very cold, the bed was a little soft, and there were always pests in the room, so I wish they would take measures to prevent this. It was especially bad having cockroaches on the floor every day. I think it can't be helped because it's a facility located in nature, but I feel quite depressed when I see cockroaches all the time.・Both the large pool and the pool in the room were comfortable. The goat shed seemed a little lonely.・The private beach was great. I think it would be best if you had a beach umbrella and beach chairs (the type you can lie down on).・Shop There were a lot of nice things and I wanted a lot of them, but I was disappointed that they didn't have my size. It was a nice corner to make bath salts.・Overview: The facilities and location are excellent. However, I felt that the staff did not have many smiles and there was a lack of communication between them. I actually told them that I wanted to clean the room in the afternoon, but when I left in the morning, the bed had been made, the sheets hadn't been changed, and the dishes hadn't been cleaned. . I asked the staff to clean it, but they just lowered the glass and did not refill it. There was no overall attention to detail, and the door for staff to enter and exit was always open and the backyard was visible. I felt like I didn't put any soul into making a Buddha. Also, I'm not sure if it's a resort for adults or families. I found it difficult because there were many families who didn't have common sense. (Especially at breakfast) It's a pity that there are a certain number of people even if you increase the price range. I would still be saved if I could see the staff's smiles. I'd like to go during a season other than summer vacation. I made a reservation through Ikkyu and posted a harsh review, but it didn't show up, so I posted it here.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is surrounded by nature, and sometimes a rare bird that can't fly? It's thinner than the Okinawa rail (I don't know the name), and it's a very relaxing environment. The room was clean, and above all, the hotel staff were very friendly. The food was based on the concept of local production and consumption, and all the dishes were very delicious, using local ingredients. I had to leave dinner halfway through because I had a massage appointment, but they brought dessert to my room later. The next morning, they called me again about the dessert, and I was very grateful for the hospitality of the hotel after a long time. The hotel left me feeling refreshed and energized for the next day. It was a great holiday.

Miyakojima was quiet during the COVID-19 pandemic, as you would expect. This time I stayed at three hotels (Shigira Suite Allamanda, The Rescape, and Seawood Hotel), but there were changes to the specifications of the restaurants, and it felt like the scale was scaled down. I don't know what the meals were originally like, but everyone was doing their best. Rescape was a true hideaway hotel for adults. It is located on the east side of the island, surrounded by hills and bushes(?) and completely cut off from the outside world. All the rooms face the sea, but for some reason they left the bushes untrimmed so that the sea could not be seen, and the view from the window was bushes! This seems to be a matter of opinion. The food was not enough for me, a big eater, but the quality was high and the atmosphere of the restaurant and the service were very good. Rescape's features include bath salts that you can make yourself using three natural ingredients, and a private pool that you can enter even in winter. The pool is deep and quite lukewarm, but if you immerse yourself up to your neck in it, it feels like you are in a hot spring. I immersed myself up to my neck in the water, leaned against the wall and gazed at the stars. There was nothing around and it was pitch black, so it was perfect for stargazing. There was a wide, almost private beach (although the view was marred by the rubbish that washed up and the black pumice from the eruption), so it was great for swimming with the family, but I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples on anniversaries. It's perfect for relaxing without having to leave the hotel. I'd like to visit this hotel again once the coronavirus calms down.
