Gasthaus Pension Zur Buche

We had booked a room with 2 beds on Booking. We were offered a room with a large bed. We protested and were told that there was no other choice because they would not have any rooms with 2 beds in the establishment (really?). The pension was hosting a group of about 20 people, the room we had booked was probably given to others. In the room it was cold because the central heating was not working (end of October!). The bedding is very soft. In terms of hygiene, there was neither mattress protector nor pillow protector. The pillows were out of date, flat and very soft. The room and the bathroom are old, the cleanliness is questionable. For dinner the menu is in German and it was not possible to use an online translator because there was no 3G/4G signal. The choice was therefore made at random. The dishes are quite good, the plates are very generous. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. The staff is attentive, it should be noted. In summary: very disappointing for the accommodation and pretty much correct for the rest.
