The managers at the Belaire Motel do NOT care about their customers! I have traveled for many years and this is one of the worst motel experiences I've ever had. In the morning, a construction worker was sawing and pounding loudly outside on the back wall of my room. (He may have been replacing the A/C which was malfunctioning.) The manager said he'd tell him to stop for awhile, when I complained, but it was too late, as it was too late to get back to sleep. The light switches for the lamps were behind the bed backboards, so you couldn't find them or use them without pulling the beds out. There was no refrigerator, nothing to make coffee or tea with. The manager said they've had 6 refrigerators stolen in the past month. Really? Is that MY fault? The manager offered NO apology, rather, he made excuses and was just rude and annoyed. There was some hair in the tub and in the sink, otherwise the rooms seemed very clean. The lady cleaning the room was working very hard and was kind. The check-in woman was entirely rude and unwelcoming. The current Belaire Motel does NOT reflect Missoula! I was very disappointed.

We loved the Bel Aire Motel. The rooms have been remodeled, and they are adorable. Retro refrigerators and microwaves, big screen TVs, beautiful wooden shelving and walls, quirky upholstery. We loved the decor. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. Good Wi-Fi. Decent water pressure. No curved shower bar but the shower curtain was heavy enough not to blow. Our only issue was that our keys did not work, and it took a while to find the clerk. Overall, an excellent stay and we would stay again.

The motel is old, the room is dark, the bathroom was still done in pink as in the 50's, the floor was stained in the bathroom with "crud" in the corners. The big redeeming factor was it was very quiet and slept good.

We stay at this motel on motorcycle trips. The price is right and we can park our bikes outside the rooms which is important for us. No lobby or elevators to contend with. Be sure to check the room's air conditioning system type when booking. Some of the rooms have built in A/C which is not really that functional. If its hot opt for one of the rooms with the a separate unit you can turn off and on at will. It has laundry facilities and is close to the downtown core and the river. Note the pool and hot tub have been closed for years but I still see some sites suggesting this hotel still has both; I can confirm they have neither. Breakfast is a bit on the limited side but they did have decent coffee. Staff are very helpful and accommodating.

The location isn't bad since it's close to downtown. However it's location does not make up for the fact that this is easily in the top 5 for dirtiest/smelliest hotels I've been to. We got 2 rooms for our group. One room smelled like an ashtray and the other was dirty. The wall of our room had multiple mismatched painted patches and mystery stains on the wall. Under the painting was graffiti. The guys in the smokey room didn't last 10 minutes and walked to the Holiday Inn for a room.

Worst experience at a Motel ever! Found this motel through the coupon book found at McDonalds and thought I am getting a steal, Right? Front desk person wouldn't honor my coupon and charged me full price! Not to mention how incredibly rude she was. We go to the room and as I climbed into be I feel a stiff crusty part of the top sheet. OMG Now I at this time of the night just wish to switch rooms, knowing that the next one won't be as bad hopefully... I go down to the front desk, the woman now sees that I have an extra person and proceeds to call me a Cheep B@#$! NOW I want to leave, she refuses to void the charge to my CC card. At this point I call the cops, as she does as well and needless to say the BelAire Motel did everything but offer me a restful nights stay. I went to the Days in down the street, paid twice as much but it was totally worth it!

We tried to call two different numbers with no answer. They called back an hour later after we were booked into a hotel that answered the phone (Campus Inn). There’s two cars in the parking lot. Nobody in the office. Sign says vacancy in a town where every hotel is booked. I wish I had this hotel- I’d make a killing. Terrible way to run a business.

Older motel that has been remodeled and upgraded. Very clean. very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again. Very good bargain. Bath tub was removed and replaced with a walk in shower. Lady at front desk was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of restuarants nearby.

So I booked this motel after seeing it under new ownership and what seemed to have nice renovations internally. Sadly for me the whole situation has kind of been a waste. I booked a 4 night stay, booking through their own website which seemed to have ALOT of bugs and glitches which has proven true. I was hoping that going through their website would provide the owners with a higher take home than any booking/expedia fees. The website gave a helpful option to convert the room price to CAD and came out to show $651 with the previous evening checking and showing $476usd. Seemed reasonable so booked. Upon arriving and checking in, I get a notification from my credit card provider that over $900cad had been charged for my stay. I’ve asked the front counter member who commented that “this wasn’t in his pay grade” and since been trying to deal with Kolby the gm here with no news or reply. Seems to be a case of ignorance is bliss and that when I check out on Monday it’ll just be a case that I’ve had my stay and tough s**t. The room itself was nice, useful appliances and spruced up decor. Rooms are a bit dirty, hand prints on the door as the doors don’t close properly and are falling apart and just sprayed paint to spruce them up externally. Messy half completed work on some items in the room decor wise too. Bed is comfy, nice TV, but for multiple night stays it doesn’t seem to get room service or coffee replenished. Overall decent stay but sadly with the false advertisement on their website and reluctance to communicate with me to even comp one evening and acknowledge their fault it’s resulted to this review. Which will be posted across many many review sites.
