We are a family of 4, with 2 kids aged 11 and 10. We stayed in the overwater villa for 5 nights 6 days.
The Westin is located about 35mins by seaplane from Male. Its a small resort with 70 accomodations (28 water villas and 42 beach villas). It has 3 restaurants and the usual facilities of a 5 star resort. What seperates this resort from the rest in my opinion is the service and attention to detail by the staff. Special shout out to Santria (F&B manager) and Laurent (GM) of the resort. Our feedback and comments were indeed taken seriously and acted upon, and we had a good experience thanks to them.
The house reef is decent, and snorkling on a clear day you will see turtles, reef sharks and all the varieties of reef fishes. We took the sunset fishing trip and it is highly recommended, and we had our catch served for dinner the next day - it was so good.
All in all it was a very pleasant experience at the resort, and once again I emphasize that it is the people there that made this smaller resort stand out from the rest.

a very spacious 140 square meters beach front villa with private pool at a decent rack rate, the service is simply the best! average food quality is 8 out of 10 points, but the price is quite expensive, particularly alcoholic!

Had a great holiday at the beautiful Westin. The 45-minute flight distance from Male Airport is just right, and the hotel's pick-up and drop-off services are very attentive. Our order included breakfast and dinner, and one of the dinners could be reserved at the Japanese restaurant. The buffet has a rich variety and you can taste food from different countries. Due to the strong wind and waves during this period, unfortunately we were unable to participate in sea activities such as paddle boarding, but the coaches held a fierce volleyball match in the swimming pool. You can see some corals 🪸 and tropical fish 🐠 while snorkeling. The room facilities are impeccable. The most impressive thing is the enthusiasm of the staff. Whether it is the welcome and farewell queue at the pier, the chat in the restaurant, or the greetings when we meet on the road, it makes you feel as if you are in a familiar community and feel more relaxed and comfortable. If there is a chance in the future, I will come again!

I stayed in No. 145 Water Pool House for 2 nights. It’s a great place where you can see the sunrise and sunset. There is a 6-foot-by-6-foot glass window on the floor of the room where you can watch fish. Unfortunately, the wind and waves are too strong so you can’t snorkel outside the terrace. The service quality of the staff is high. On my birthday, after the music performance in the restaurant, all the staff suddenly sang happy birthday together and presented me with a birthday cake with my name on it. "This was an absolutely wonderful travel experience, especially during my wife’s and my honeymoon. Choosing the WESTIN was the right decision—the room was great, the food was excellent (we tried all three restaurants), and the service was outstanding. Special thanks to Julia from Russia and Manager Mohit Shadaik from India, who provided us with tremendous assistance. Our only regret was not being able to see the manta rays and that the trip was too short. Given the chance, I believe me and my wife would choose the WESTIN again."

We recently stayed at The Westin Maldives and had a wonderful experience overall. The room was extremely comfortable and well-appointed, providing everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The staff deserves special recognition for their attentiveness and hospitality throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and made us feel truly welcome. The dining experience was exceptional - the food was delicious with great variety and quality. We were impressed with the culinary offerings across different restaurants. A special shoutout to Rohit for the fantastic tennis lesson! It was definitely a highlight of our trip and added great value to our stay. The only minor issue we encountered was that the billiards/foosball table was out of order, but this was really a small inconvenience and didn't impact our overall enjoyment. Recommendation for the hotel: It would be great to upgrade the in-room TVs to smart TVs, allowing guests to access streaming services like YouTube. This would be a nice modern touch for the rooms. Despite the minor issue, we highly recommend The Westin Maldives for anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable tropical getaway. We would definitely consider returning in the future.
