This was supposed to be our second stay at this hotel. The first time it was great - clean (with nice products from Benamor a local business), good location and service. But they changed ownership and things went downhill. We arrived at 11 had lunch and returned at 3 for check in but the room was still not ready. We changed in the bathroom upstairs and waited a little longer. The room was ready at 3:40. We went out and when we returned our room was very hot (massive heatwave in Porto). We tried the AC and nothing, went downstairs and they reset many times with no luck. I asked for another room - nothing available. I asked for another hotel - she said nothing available. After an hour trying to tell her to talk to the manager my husband went downstairs impatient and finally they said they could put us in another apartment. We packed and drove to the new place just to suffer again - one of the rooms had not been serviced and we had to sleep there. Stay away. Stay away. We called and nothing was done. Where is the manager to try to solve the problem? Aspasios apartment should be closed!

Horrible experience at the hotel. The room was not soundproof and the customer service was truly awful. Internationals beware: we tried to get a refund for the nights that we did not stay and they refunded one - and also had me waiting for 3 hours while the manager never arrived on site. Worst of all, the we're unable to issue a credit note and only paid through bank transfer - something hard to accept if you don't have an European account Truly a horrible experience that tainted our stay in Portugal

Location was even better than I expected. The rooms were very modern and sparkling clean. The room amenities (refrigerator, stove, coffee set up, etc.) were great. The pool area offered a nice place to unwind in the evenings. Breakfast was nice as well.

It was a very nice hotel, room was really good. And they had a nice little swimming pool on the roof. Unfortnatly the bar was closed, we fixed that by buying some water and chips and took the port from our room.👌

We had 2 rooms and although they had no view, the rooms were so big and comfy. They both had a small kitchen area and everything was impecable. We stayed one night. The lady in the front was very nice and helpful, too. Everything is walking distance.

Nous avions réservé la chambre la plus chère ( familiale) qui est présentée sur le site de l' hôtel comme lumineuse, avec de grandes fenêtres donnant sur un petit balcon avec vue sur le Douro. A la place nous avons reçu une chambre sombre et humide au 1er étage du bâtiment annexe avec de minuscules fenêtres donnant sur l' arrière du bâtiment principal! En outre, et c' est la double peine, pour accéder à la rue, il fallait remonter du 1er au 3eme étage puis changer d' ascenseur et redescendre au rez-de-chaussée! Pour l' anecdote cette chambre est censée pouvoir accueillir des personnes à mobilité réduite alors qu'il faut monter sur 1 chaise pour ouvrir les minuscules fenêtres. 1* pour l' emplacement central.
