Location in the city center, convenient for traveling around! The room was clean and it was a comfortable stay

Была ужасно поражена отношению к гостям. Были гостями этого отеля 16 мая вечером. Спросили с подругой, как пройти к спа-центру, т .к. указатель показывал на казино. Не смогли найти дорогу с первого раза, в след услышали крик охранника. Решили подойти и уточнить, куда идти, но он продолжал кричать на нас. Дважды просила не разговаривать в таком тоне, на что он начал передразнивать меня. Такого отношения я нигде не встречала.

Having extensive experience of traveling to hotels of different chains and categories around the world, I can confidently say that this hotel is definitely not 5*. This is a sad 2* with a big stretch, with unprofessional staff, old rooms and completely smoke-filled corridors. We chose the hotel because of the swimming pool, location in the very center of the city in a historical building. I did not waste time reading reviews, what problems can there be with a 5* hotel of a famous chain? Very serious ones. I booked very early, in January, because it is difficult to find accommodation in Minsk in principle, and on the May holidays everything is even more booked. A room for 2 adults and a child, 10 years old. Through the Yandex.Travel application. The cost for 3 days is about $ 600 without breakfast. We arrived at the hotel at 15-00. At the reception we met a crowd of guests who complained about one problem or another. It made me wary ))) I ask at the reception if it would be possible to pay extra for another day if we suddenly want to stay in Minsk, the employee refuses to extend it without even checking the database (!) I ask in confusion why she can’t do this if there are currently available rooms on the website for the desired dates. She replied - just book on the website (!). Nonsense! Then she announced that the three of us with a child will have to sleep on one bed (!!!) That we did not pay for an extra bed, which costs $ 20 per day. Although the voucher indicates that the room is paid for three (2 adults, 1 child). There was no time or desire to sort things out, I offered to pay extra and then sort things out with the booking system. And again I was refused!!! It turns out that the hotel has run out of all the folding beds!!! ))))) Then, instead of solving the problem, the receptionist told us her personal experience, from which it follows that in "the hotels in the United Arab Emirates where she has been, this is normal practice and there adults sleep with children in the same bed" (!!!!). To which we replied that we are now in Minsk, not in the UAE, and that it is unacceptable to impose personal experience on hotel guests, and this does not correspond to our moral principles and traditional values. And we need to resolve the issue or return the money. To which again a discouraging answer - but you did not pay anything to the hotel (!!!) Although 100% of the payment was written off a week before check-in. And only after writing in the complaints book, a folding bed was found. All this took about an hour. The maids on the floor were surprised by this problem, because folding beds were available. When checking into the room, it turned out that there were no towels either. However, they brought them quickly. There is no minibar in the room (!) The safe is broken (!) The TV is old. The water in the shower is not regulated, there is black mold on the walls. The wallpaper is peeling off. The socket for the kettle is broken. There is a swimming pool, but it is terribly chlorinated, your eyes and nose burn from the chlorine. There is a sauna, but on different floors from the pool (!) There is a hammam, but hotel guests are not allowed in it (!) The hotel does not have its own parking (!) This is the sad experience we had with this "five-star hotel". An extremely unpleasant, gloomy, foul-smelling place.

My husband and I were at the spa, if you close your eyes to the broken locks on the cabinet and the hair dryer in the shower, sealed with duct tape, then it would seem not bad. But the towel with 4(!) holes killed it. 4 could not have been missed earlier, and to say that it was accidental is already complete disrespect for the guests.
