Exmoor White Horse Inn Food great and staff very attentive and helpful. Thanks to the owner Peter and Mark who looked after us. Recommend potato rosti with smoked salmon, and the lamb breast with fondant potatoes. Breakfast also excellent.

Wonderful place like stepping back in time but with mod cons. Food delightful, tasted like it had been cooked by someone who cares. Fantastic walks all around and lovely olde world villages like Dunster and Dulverton close by to visit. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. Us, on our 60s loved it. Our youngest in his 20s who went with his fiancee the week before also loved. Nothing to dislike

The perfect bolthole
The perfect bolthole
I wanted to a few days away before Christmas. Somewhere wild and windy. Exmoor delivers in bucket loads.
And I wanted somewhere cosy and comfortable to stay, which did good food.
The Exmoor White Horse Inn was the perfect place.
Attractively situated beside the pretty River Exe, my walks could start from the front door.
A cosy, comfortable room. Great food. And the warmest of welcomes - each time I returned from another windblown walk.
The perfect weekend bolthole.
Will definitely be back.

Having searched through many reviews for somewhere to stay over Christmas we decided on The Exmoor White Horse. What a great decision! Right from our first booking email correspondence was easy and straightforward. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and then the next four days were hassle free. We were really pleased with how spacious, well-appointed and clean our room was. The tray of Christmas goodies was a really nice touch. Linda, Peter and all the team were, without exception, friendly, informative and always ready to help with any enquiry. All the meals were excellent, delicious and plentiful; the diet starts tomorrow! We have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this inn for a Christmas break.
