Ryokan Yamanoyu

It was clean. To get to the hotel with a suitcase we had to go around the whole village, because other slopes were too steep. There was no possibility to broadcast the phone screen to the TV in the room and there was no HDMI type c cable.

Check-in at 15:00, check-out at 10:00. It took us about 5 minutes to get there from the bus stop. The room is spacious, cozy, the bed is very comfortable. There is a refrigerator and two kettles with cold and hot water in the room. After the hot springs, we slept like babies. The traditional dinner is very filling, we even refused the last dish. On the 5th floor there is a private onsen with a gorgeous view, you need to reserve in advance.

We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner. The hotel has two restaurants (one with a grill, the other for breakfast and dinner in kaiseki style). There is an elevator. Two family onsen, which you can take if they are available. Men's and women's indoor onsen on the 4th floor and an amazing men's and women's onsen in the open air. There is also a private onsen, which you need to book at the reception. We spent most of our time in the open onsen, it is large, beautiful and there were no other people in it except us. Both times we had very tasty breakfasts in kaiseki style, one dinner was also kaiseki style, the second dinner was barbecue. The hotel provides a transfer from the bus stop and also back when leaving, which is very convenient.

The hot springs are nice. The food was average. Service is average.

The day before, I stayed at "Takefue" (please see the comments here), and on that day, I bought a hot spring bill on a sunny day and soaked in the open-air bath Kodama no Yu at Yamanoyu. Here we come♨ The 1,300 yen hot spring bill is valid for half a year, and it's a great value to put in your favorite 3 day trip hot springs. (laughs) I became the number one customer of the day 🙌 My wife and I went up to the top floor in the elevator, and furthermore, we passed through the rabbit's noren, and entered the Showa corridor... just like the world of Ghibli...・When you go up, there is a simple locker, and above it is "Kodama no Yu" ♨ The rock bath on the roof of the inn has good hot water, but it was very hot on this day even though it was early March. So if I'm not in the shadows, I'll be overwhelmed right away, and now I'm in a rush. This place was in the middle of the Kurokawa Onsen town, but there weren't many people there (although there were a lot of people from Korea that day), so I was able to relax (・∀・) Good!! Decided to go tomorrow and headed to the inn "Tsukiyaki" tonight♫(^^♪
