I visited for a family trip.
I booked room 101 after reading reviews, and it was an excellent choice.
It's in the middle of the mountains, so the road to get there is really rough.
My heart raced.
The night view was crazy, and deer and raccoons were running around in front of the accommodation.
It felt smaller than the posted photos, and the layout was different, but it was big enough for 4 people.
However, the floor heating was partially possible, so you have to turn the heater on really hard when you sleep so that you don't get cold.
Everything was perfect, including the sauna and the jacuzzi. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the location.

Although it was a pet-friendly room, I didn't smell any pet odor the moment I entered the room, and it seemed clean and well-cleaned.
The buildings are a certain distance apart, so I was able to relax without hearing the voices or presence of people in other rooms. A plus point is that you can freely use the sauna and hot spring!
Please note that the directions from the Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area require you to go through a very narrow road at the end.

From already travelled to another rakuten villa, I came with high expectation. I can definitely say that the villa is on par with the other ones. It has a very big living space, very well cleaned, newly built, plenty of equipments and amenities. I believe what stands out the most is the private Onsen and sauna, which is not offered in many places.
Travelers would want to travel here when there is day light, I went during the night and it was pitch black, the road is narrow, windy and uphill which required high level of cautiousness.
Overall a highly recommend this place when travelling to nearby region.

The location is really really deep in the mountains.
If you drive up there and meet an oncoming vehicle, it's dizzying.
The mountain is right next to it and there's a wide field, so the view is amazing.
There's nothing that's lacking in facilities, so there's nothing to complain about, and I was surprised that there was a washing machine and sauna inside..
If I go to Kumamoto again, I'll definitely visit again!!
