Very good dinner & breakfast. But room abit old, can’t accept it has no shower in the room, you need to go to onsen to shower. Onsen quality soso, not strong flavour and temperature is not that hot like others.

The hotel is located on a plateau plain, which is very affected by the weather. There is often heavy fog and hazy phenomena, and the scenery may not necessarily be good. However, the air is very fresh and the temperature is perfect. In addition, the hotel facilities are good and the food is very diverse and attractive. The room is so big and convenient for picking up luggage. Because the location is not very convenient, it is only recommended for self-driving travelers.

When we checked in, we were greeted and served with a welcome dessert and Japanese tea. The room was big in Japanese context with a split-level design and a courtyard. The room has all the amenities you would expect. We liked the settings of the ”talking room”, in which light music was played in the background. There are also coffee and tea available in the ”talking room”. Breakfast and dinner were truly delicious. Perhaps, the only downside is that the size of the onsen hot tub in the room is a bit small.

GGuest UserI truly enjoyed my stay at Yamamizuki. I wish I had stay for another night. Service from everyone there was heartwarming. Room was clean and spacious. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Not to mention the huge open air onsen was the best of all. The onsen was by the creek. Be careful the temperature was quite high. They have English speaking staff.
Only one little thing. There seemed to be a shortage of towels (?). I accidentally got my large bath towel wet and would like to exchange another one. However, I was told to hang the towel dry because each guest can only have one bath towel. I just thought hotels in general have lots of towels. It’s not a big deal though. I’d suggest to bring at least one of your own large bath towels to Kurokawa Onsen.
I believe this is one of the best onsens in Kurokawa. I’d love to come again during autumn!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car.
The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room.
We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous.
There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.

First of all, I really, really recommend it👍🏻 Go there a hundred, ten thousand, and a thousand and five hundred times!!
The staff are very kind, and the hot spring facilities and room condition are the best!
I was able to try on traditional Japanese clothes, and the food was especially the best!
The food was really good, and they gave me so much food that I almost burst😂
I was lucky that my group and I were the only ones in the family bath and large bath, so I took pictures, but the hot spring for guests only is also amazing!
It was a good memory~ A lot of Korean tourists are going to Kumamoto these days, so if you're thinking about visiting a hot spring, I recommend this place👻
(By the way, there's a staff member who speaks Korean really well♡)

If you have large luggage, it is recommended to contact the hotel. The hotel's open-air hot spring is great. There are two Chinese ladies, and communication is barrier-free.

HHuipaodexiaoxiannvyoWe went on a family trip and stayed at Dream Dragon on the coldest day during the Spring Festival. I stayed here once more than 5 years ago and was very impressed. It is a pure Japanese style, and the dinner and breakfast are so rich that you can't help but lean on the wall. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and quiet, and the water quality of the hot spring is excellent, but remember to bring towels from the room, there are no towels in the hot spring. The snacks are delicious. The puffs and coffee shops in Kurokawa Town are very good. There are century-old shops everywhere. It is a quaint place.

The design of the cabin is stunning. The two-story independent cabin allows children to climb up and down as much as they like. The owner of the B&B is very enthusiastic. Even if he doesn't understand the language, he tries his best to use translation software to introduce Kurokawa Onsen's attractions and B&B facilities. It really makes people feel like returning to their hometown.
Kurokawa is very quiet at night, and you can really enjoy the tranquility and leisure of the deep mountain hot springs.
The cabin is fully equipped and can be used for simple cooking. I cooked Japanese sukiyaki pot with the children in the cabin, which was very satisfying!
The outdoor hot spring in the B&B is another amazing place. Because it was summer, we didn’t make a reservation for the hot spring. The owner of the B&B enthusiastically invited us to enjoy it (unexpectedly). Unexpectedly, it turned out to be an independent open-air hot spring. I highly recommend making a reservation. It’s too Feel comfortable!
The next day, the children were very reluctant to say goodbye to the owner of the B&B and the owner's dog. Along the way, they still missed the comfortable bed (actually just a tatami sleeping mat) in the B&B. I will definitely visit again next time I have the opportunity!

None of the reviews is for the single and double price difference. There is no shuttle service. The guests who come are basically self-driving, and take a taxi to the bus station for 1,100 yen. The perfect mix and match of Japanese style, the quality is hidden in the details, everything from faucets to bedding, and I want to move home. What makes people in Japan unbelievable is the abuse of disposable chopsticks, even the famous Michelin Sanxing Junoi. You can spend two meals without using heavy bamboo chopsticks, especially for dinner. The fine grip is perfect, and you have the urge to take away. You must order two meals. On this morning's hike, the one kilometer country road is only This hotel has nothing. By the way, Ctrip's name is wrong. It's Huaxin instead of Huaxin. The word of mind can go a long way. The quality of the food is high, the amount of refinement is small, and it is full. Comfortable, the room has private soup, but it's too hot. The public soup pond went to the three times for exclusive treatment. The well-cut branches and leaves contrasted with the outdoor hot soup pond. The area was just enough for one person to lie down and drunk. In the warm and slightly sulfuric spring water, slowly touching the exquisite pursuit of hot spring culture may be the same as kaiseki cuisine. What you eat is the overall enjoyment, not just the meal in the pool of water. Perfect 邂逅!

When checking out, the gentleman at the counter for other consumption amounts said that you cannot pay by card and you have to pay in cash, but there is a sign at the counter that you can pay by card and it does not say that you must pay in cash. I feel a little strange.
