Spa Hotels in Minamiawaji

My non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Fortunately the staff were exceptional, and I soon received another room. One staff told me that because the room was ”Japanese Style”, and that I had to take the bedding from the closet, move the low table and make up my own futon. I live in Japan and I know what a ”Japanese Style” room is. Ryokans of a good grade will have staff make up the futons. When a hotel is too large, the work of making up the futons for all rooms becomes onerous, however, one wonders why ”five star hotel” if one has to make up one's own futon AND receive education on what a ”Japanese Style” room entails [ I am in the hotel business]. The lobby is bleak and looks cheap. No style, no charm. The seating is ugly and cheap. There are real plants here and there but no cut flowers. Cut flowers are very expensive in Japan. Too expensive for this hotel. The final point is that I booked this specific hotel in order to take a swim. Although the weather was fine, the pool had closed the day before I arrived. The pool was still full of water, perfect and peaceful, but ”closed”. No doubt, this saves on staff and other expenses, in the same way that making up one's own futon does . . . all this is fine for a hostel, but not for a luxury hotel. I have been generous with my star-giving because I like to be kind, and because several of the staff were truly exceptional in their kindness and service, however, we hope that the management will note our comments. Please pay for more staff and please keep your pool open as long as the weather permits. Global warming means pools can stay open longer. :-)

The kitchen area was also substantial and I was very satisfied. Amenity is also sufficient. There is no pajamas. There were many check-in fill-in items, and it took a little time to confirm after connecting to the operator. However, it was a fun hotel including that.

Compared with several other high-end hotels in this trip, this hotel is relatively inexpensive, and there is almost no activity to kill time. We played a mini golf, even the hot springs, and the quality of the food was not amazing, even though it was local. Ingredients, the only thing that can be remembered is that it seems to have the entire hotel on the day of the check-in, which is absolutely exclusive.

Ctrip should improve the hotel information, because the two price rooms represent smoking rooms and non-smoking rooms respectively. This is not marked, but the price is somewhat different. After arriving at the hotel, I want to add some money to exchange for a non-smoking room, but the hotel said that it has to do the operation on the website where I booked the room, that is, to return this order and place another one, but this order is non-refundable. So it cannot be replaced. I hope Ctrip will give more comprehensive room information next time. The hotel itself is very good. Next to the bis station, there are also convenience stores and restaurants around. The hotel also has a French restaurant and bar check-in hot spring and morning and Western breakfast. This time, I booked a room for 3 people with an open-air pool and breakfast. The room is spacious and comfortable, the bathroom is clean and the open-air bath is fine and can only be used by one person. It is necessary to take a wheel to soak. The Mandarin staff at the front desk was very good, and polite and helpful to ask nearby restaurants and reservations, but in the end we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner. The salmon dinner was very delicious and more delicious than the salmon dinner I stayed at the hotel last time. If you go to Awajima, you will book this hotel again. The downside is that there are too few choices for breakfast.

Facilities: Dry and wet separation, very clean, the hotel is very new. There are two washing machines and two dryers. Note that they are not coin-operated. You have to download the app to pay online. However, the process is very simple. You can use the app to see how long it will take to complete. I like the drink bar in the lobby. There is a coffee machine to make your own coffee, as well as ice, coffee sugar, etc. It’s also nice to drink coffee while waiting for laundry. Location: It's very convenient for driving. There is a parking lot downstairs with plenty of parking spaces. The hotel will give you a piece of paper recommending what delicious food is nearby. There is a cafe among them that opens at 7 or 8 o'clock in the morning (more famous for its pork chop rice), which is very delicious. Aeon is just a few minutes drive away, which is very convenient.
