Yunogo Grand Hotel

夕食、朝食共にとても満足です。スタッフの方々がとても親切でお値段以上でした。

The room settings were wrong, the dinner menu was wrong, there were no seats for breakfast so they had to hastily prepare it, and one staff member commented, "What? You drink coffee before a meal?", which seemed to throw off the pace of their own work. I thought that traveling can be a way to enjoy something out of the ordinary, but it was just a case of bad luck.

This hotel is located in Yunogo Onsen, a 70-minute drive from Okayama city. I think it's a large hotel. After checking in, we had tea and warabi mochi at the lobby lounge. The room was a beautiful Japanese style room with a view of the mountains. There is a large public bath and a large open-air bath, so you can relax in the hot springs. Amenities are available in the washroom area. There was black bean tea available at the after-bath area, which quenched my thirst after taking a bath. The rest area is decorated with large flowers and children's drawings. There were three things that made me happy during this stay. Dinner was served in a private room. There was a buffet of salad and horumon udon, and Tsureai said, ``The next day, we're going to have horumon udon for lunch in Tsuyama,'' so we happily went to pick it up. Also, as part of the ``Stay in Okayama Cheers Campaign,'' some of the alcoholic beverages were half price, so I was happy to see that and ordered several bottles of cold local sake. The local sake, which costs 1,100 yen a bottle, was only 550 yen, so I couldn't resist drinking it. The food was good. The appetizers were full of autumn flavors such as chestnuts. The sea bream sashimi was fresh. The chicken sukiyaki was refreshing and delicious. As a side note, the mask case was a paper used to brew coffee. That's a good idea. Breakfast was served in a private room, and we had delicious side dishes, black beans, natto, and miso soup with large clams in white miso. We also had juice and coffee. At the restaurant, the friendly and experienced waiters served us kindly. It was my first time staying at Yunogo Onsen, and I was satisfied with my stay.
