The Iron Horse Hotel

The Iron Horse isn't just a hotel - it's an experience. The motif and décor are motorcycle & music themed. It's fun and edgy, upscale yet relaxed. I can't wait to return for a leisure trip and check out the Harley museum a block away. The beds are super comfortable, too.

We have stayed at the Iron Horse several times when going to German Fest and now it seams old and run down. Used to get cocktails when arriving. This time the bar was not even open. We called on our way around noon requesting early check which was not available. When we arrived around 1 PM we parked and checked with front desk letting them know we would be back later. When we came to hotel at 10 pm, they told us they got a room for us in another hotel. Cleaning staff was not able to get all the rooms ready. There were quite a few people that had to be moved. We weren’t to happy to having to drive to another hotel after a long day.

We stayed 2 nights over the 4th of July after having stayed there a few years ago and had a great experience, not so much anymore. There is a lack of energy now, from the staff to the outdoor patio, which is showing a lot of wear and tear( dirty seat cushions, long wait for service}. Our room had cobwebs in the window and the fridge still smelled like fried food from the previous guests, easy fixes if cleaning was better. The only food option is the outdoor area, no indoor bar or restaurant, only for breakfast. I would not stay here again as it feels like no one cares too much anymore. Also the valet parking was very expensive.

A beautifully decorated hotel with an industrial decor that is charming and well-themed. A great deal of effort was put in to make this amazing. We were there for a wedding and found the event staff to be charming and helpful. On the con side, the front desk, the cleaning staff, and other maintaince staff were woefully unconcerned with the needs of the clients. We noticed that we were not the only ones experiencing similar service issues. Our experience included broken air conditioning along with a feeble, half-hearted and ultimately unsuccessfull attempt to solve the problem; a refusal to even answer a question about fresh towels; a refusal to empty trash forcing us to empty the trash ourselves; and an incidental charge of $100 per room which was not promply returned forcing us to dispute the charge. I could go on with more examples of unaddressed complaints and service blunders. What a waste of a hotel space. Prices are above average, and while the decor is charming, the service is a tragedy.

I was greeted by a very full toilet covered in someone’s recent expulsion of unpleasantries. It was fresh and I checked in after 5 so I’m not really sure why someone was recently using a clean toilet in a room that was waiting for a guest. Even the seat was full of 💩

Walls are paper thin, in a timber loft on the top floor you still heard everything from rooms next door. Would not recommend staying here
