Due to the reputation of the owners and the top end price tag, for us at least, we expected much, but we were sadly disappointed. Room 11 - TV in the room was ancient and tiny. No tea tray in the room, but this was delivered on request, however, the plug points were situated in the skirting and the kettle cable wouldn’t reach that far, so the kettle had to live on the floor. Hairdryer was good, but there wasn’t a mirror in the room close to a plug point. Lovely comfy bed but again, plug points were under the bedside table in the skirting, so tricky to get to. Great shower. It was all a bit old fashioned for us, including the food, which was fine but again, a bit old fashioned, with tiny blobs of this and that and carrots you could hardly see 😂 The gardens were stunning and if we do return it would be for an afternoon tea and a tour of the gardens. Sadly we had awful weather and couldn’t explore as much as we’d intended. However, staff were lovely. I’d like to particularly mention Harry, such a lovely lad who made the best Cosmo’s!
