因為預訂了湖區唯一的米三餐廳，所以在這裏落腳一晚，距離餐廳開車20分鐘。酒店坐落在湖區旁的鄉村，房間裝修很漂亮，服務不錯，聽説我們預訂的餐廳聊了很開心，停車場很大，酒店本身有一家不錯的餐廳。

An overnight stay, arriving early afternoon, also taking the opportunity for a short walk walk along footpaths and minor country roads to the north-west, before dinner (seem to needd to book separately which we did in advance). Situated on a major road the views are not the best but in compensation surrounded by impressive countryside. A very large carpark, and reception was efficient (we booked in advance). A nice outdoor seating area . Our room was smallish but adequeate (ses picture) with good size wardrobe but short of table space and only one comfy chair. TV was OK but small with limited channels (but can pair with pnone and good WiFi) . A good sized bath and a nice overhead shower (but need to step into the bath). Like many such places the soaps are placed optimally for the shower rather than the bath! View not the best. The restaurant was I would say at the upper end of quality and by today's standards reasonably priced (＜£100 meal with wine). Service was good - plenty of staff around who promptly came when requested. I would say an excellent hotel for an overnight stay and a very good hotel for a longer stay although if for longer woudl probably upgrade to a larger room.

Wish we’d stayed for more than the one night as it was extremely friendly, efficient and comfortable. The decor was modern contemporary and well considered. The staff were all polite, professional and very friendly particularly the lady on reception who was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food looked amazing (we ate out, next time we’ll eat at Crooklands). We both agreed we would return and hopefully soon. Sad to leave but left with big smiles.

My elderly mother & I stayed 5 nights (22-27th June). Twin deluxe room on the ground floor. Lovely sized room with comfortable sitting area. Fabulous bathroom with a walk in shower. (Shampoo, body wash & hand wash provided) Everything in the room was spotlessly clean. Tray with kettle, tea, coffee & milk provided & decent sized mugs rather than the usual small cups. Breakfast was very excellent. Porridge recommended! All the staff very very friendly & helpful. Very easy to find & close to junction 36 on the M6 but absolutely no traffic noise. Easy access to anywhere in the Lakes.

I stayed here for one night whilst working in the area and had a good experience. The hotel is in a great location beside J36 of the M6 and is clearly a popular dining destination for locals. Not surprising given how good the food was at both dinner and breakfast, so booking ahead is advisable. The staff were all very friendly and efficient, from the lady on Reception, to the bar & restaurant team and the lovely lady serving breakfast. Many thanks to everyone. My room was comfortable enough, especially the bed, but I would echo some of the comments made in other TA reviews: Walls are very thin so I heard every noise from next door, late into the evening. The bathroom needs a larger, eye level mirror for shaving. A plug socket next to the bed would be useful - the USB sockets are okay but as many devices now have USB-C fittings, an alternative would be useful. The general decor is starting to look a bit tired, with multiple scuffs and stains on the walls. Time for a refresh? These things aside, I enjoyed my brief stay at the Crooklands and would definitely return when working nearby again.

Found this hotel whilst looking for an overnight stop on my journey from Aberdeen to York. Made the booking directly with Crooklands Hotel and was impressed with their customer communication pre visit and my ability to book a dinner table even though they were busy with it being Mothers Day. The hotel is less than one mile from the M6 and lots of parking available on site. We were made very welcome on arrival and were delighted with the quality of the room for our overnight stay. Dinner was exceptional and the plate fulls are not for the faint hearted although they do offer smaller portions which were also more than plentiful. We chose the Roast Beef and wow what a wise choice. After a comfortable overnight stay the continental breakfast options were well presented with lots of fresh fruit on offer. The cooked breakfast was as good as I’ve had anywhere freshly cooked and high in quality. I booked this not knowing what to expect but I cannot recommend this hotel and staff highly enough and will use it again but for more than one night the next time as a great overnight location and also ideal for a South Lakes visit.
