Stayed here before after a trip to Rehoboth Beach. This time after an Ocean City trip where I couldn’t get a reasonable Saturday night stay hotel room there on this Labor Day weekend. Hotel still has its newness about it and everything was good for the most part. They did actknowledge my Platinum status. Room was nice and clean with nice bedding and it was a quiet night on the top floor this Saturday night. I did sink down in the bed that seemed soft with the padding. And with the bed spread and all getting heavy on my feet in the middle of the night, I did wake up in a sweat. My fault for not pulling up the spread to get the weight off the part hanging off the bottom of the bed. Everything worked good in the room and it was comfortable otherwise. The next morning when my wife and son went down to breakfast at 9:15am, they were all out of oatmeal and other hot food was in short supply. Disappointing in that we were informed the breakfast was until 10am. I will say the girl working the buffet did good to replenish the fruit, muffins and other cold food. But it’s Sunday morning Labor Day weekend and we paid big bucks to stay here on this Saturday night. At least keep the hot food coming until closer to 10am. And how hard would it have been to make more oatmeal. I mean they know the hotel is full and people will be coming down late on a Sunday morning for breakfast. My wife was upset when she ask about more oatmeal and was told there isn’t any more and they weren’t going to make anymore. They seemed to have more staff members working the front desk compared to the one man there our last stay that helped at the buffet. Seems this time with more staff, they could have had the buffet worker keep the hot food replenished during the last hour of breakfast while someone else replenished the cold food. There were others standing around waiting for the eggs, potatoes and breakfast meat too. If we would have went down at 9:50 and things were all gone, ok. I know hotels like this seem to run with the minimum work staff as possible, and probably as little of food waste as possible. But this left us disappointed. I know, go down earlier to eat. But when you are traveling with a family, people like to sleep in on Sundays. And it wasn’t like we went down last minute.

we had gone here to get a feel for the area and this was such a perfect location to get the everything. you are 20 - 25 min to all the local beach towns from Lewes all the way to Ocean city . it is a newer location and kept verry clean with a welcoming staff. plenty of parking and a very safe feel.
