This our second visit to Honey Run. We’ve stayed in the Inn and the Honeycombs. We loved them both. The Inn is located right in the middle of the Amish country and an easy drive to all the Amish towns. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and attentive. The grounds are beautiful. I would definitely go back if the opportunity arises.

If you are looking for a tranquil get-away , look no further than a stay at The Inn at Honey Run. We stayed in the Honeycombs rooms built into the earth with private rock-lined patios. We loved watching the birds at our own feeder and walking the nearby trail to view the outdoor art museum. Wonderful beds and cocktails at the lounge. We have come many times before and we hope to come again.

If you're planning to stay at the Inn at Honey Run, there are some things you should know. We booked two nights there, in their Honey Comb rooms. We are a couple in their mid 60's in good health, hubby has back problems and has had several neck and back surgeries. Nowhere do they tell you that if your room is in the second floor, that there is no elevator. They also do not tell you that you can't park near your room to off-load your luggage. You must park a short distance away, on a very hilly slanted spot, carry your own stuff to the building, then climb steps, to get to your door. None of this is mentioned on the web site, nor when you make reservations. You then need to move your car further away up a hill, and walk back to the rooms. Wine is a big thing as well, when you check in, they give you two plastic glasses of red wine and a plastic container with 6 stale crackers, some chunk cheese, and some sort of tough meat for your room snack. When we said we didn't drink, there was the "you don't drink wine??" eye roll from the desk clerk, and two cans of soda were given. There is also a bottle of wine in the room, again, not mentioned. Why are guests not given a choice? Some bubbly non-alcoholic drink should be offered. Not everyone drinks alcohol. And that "snack" was embarrassing for this type of place. We ordered room service for dinner, a 14 ounce rib eye to share and a couple of salads. These are delivered in a large paper bag, in plastic containers, with plastic utensils. A plastic knife and fork, to eat a steak. It didn't matter that it was impossible to cut the steak with the plastic knife, because the steak was inedible. Tough, barely cooked, after being ordered medium. It was cold, and just awful. We called the desk and they took it off the bill. The salads were good, though on the small side. There was some sort of flat bread that was almost raw, so we didn't eat it. There is a smal individual coffee maker in the room, with very good coffee pods. We didn't get the biscotti in the room the first day, so we asked for some. We didn't care for it, it was very heavy with almonds with no sweetness, just almonds and bland. We had ordered breakfast for the next day, which was delivered right on time. The omelette was fine, nice and fluffy, and the waffles with fruit are very good. But again, without being mentioned, we got 2 Bloody Mary's. For breakfast. There was no mention of that, no offer of another juice. Just more alcohol. The room is nice, rather small, but ok. Nice size tv mounted on a telescoping wall mount so you can see it from the bed or couch. The couch was comfortable. There is a gas fireplace that's nice also, if you're successful in getting it to turn on. The king size bed is HIGH, which could be an issue for some. The fitted sheet on the bed had zero elastic, so it didn't stay on the mattress. Waking up in the middle of the night with no sheet under you is not fun. The view is nice from the small patio, there's bird fe

We visit the Inn every year, always stay in a honeycomb room. These rooms sit on a hillside, with a beautiful view but the real treat is the stone patio that overlooks the view. Only sound is birds, and plenty of them. And the occasional clip-clop of a horse drawn Amish buggy. Many “visitors” as we sit on the patio with a glass of wine: birds at the feeder (each room has one), groundhogs, raccoons, and the very friendly cat Oscar who monitors the comings and goings. In the fall, we also have seen wild turkeys. And in mid-summer, a fantastic display of lightning bugs. And beautiful sunrises. The restaurant is excellent. Overall service is top notch. And everything is very clean.

We have been guests at The Inn at Honey Run for years. You are welcomed by beautiful grounds, hiking trails, friendly service and many options for the type of room accommodations you prefer. Dining at Tarragon is a five star experience. The service, creative cuisine and atmosphere is excellent. You are never rushed. There is something for everyone at the Inn. We especially enjoy the natural surroundings. While sitting on their patios and outdoor spaces provided in nature you are able to enjoy the sights and sounds that surround you. You are also close to scenic countryside, nearby towns, shops and restaurants. The owner and his team provide you with a relaxing experience, thoughtful special touches and amenities that make you overall experience one to remember. I highly recommend that you visit soon.
