We pulled up and NO ONE else was in the parking lot; we went into the lobby - very dirty and gloomy. We told the lady we were uncomfortable and would like to cancel, she said no and charged us right away, we left anyway - it has been two weeks and our bank is still fighting for our money back. Honestly I feel for our own security and hygienic health that even if they keep the money it was worth not staying here.

SCAMMERS. After I was told I couldn’t cancel my reservation the day before my visit, I ended up trying to check in at 930 pm the day of my reservation.I still had an active reservation on the choice hotel website. I was told at the hotel my reservation was indeed cancelled and I could still get a room for TWICE the rate I booked on the Choice web site ( $200 as opposed to $100. ) I was told there would be a hold on my debit card for $500 for a $100 room. Customer service that night was not helpful. The person checking in behind me was told the same thing I was about “ not having a reservation but could still have the room for the full rack rate” . From the way the outside of the property looked and the awful smell at the front desk, I am glad I didn’t have to sleep there. DO NOT STAY HERE

The room rate was pretty cheap, that is your first clue. Upon opening the room a smell that seems like it is chemical in nature in an attempt to cover something else up. Towels smelled clean but upon further inspection were stained with God knows what. Looked inside the coffee pot to find some coffee still inside it and a nice colorful biological sample of mold floating on top. Upon request the towels were replaced with towels that were also stained. The coffee pot was "cleaned" by dumping the coffee out in the parking lot and rinsing it with water in the sink. The staff did not try to even hide their lack of effort in cleaning. The "clean pool" also had things seemingly growing in it and was probably only half full. The free WiFi surprisingly worked but only for 1 hour at a time. Literally every hour on the hour it will shut off. The only nice thing is the quick access to Presque Isle and downtown Erie. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me 10 times what they charge. Would rather sleep in my car or anywhere else for that matter. Don't book here unless you want to punish yourself and waist your hard earned money!

They were terrible and really rude. I will never go back, rooms were terrible and smelled. Says all children welcome but wants you to separate them if you have more than 3. Worst place in Erie!!! Very accusatory, called us liars because they claimed I didn't mention that I had five children when I booked( which I absolutely did) regardless I would not separate a 7,7,8,8 and an 11 year old so they could have their own room!! Terrible people and had to pay an entire night for three hours!!

Ok, let's be real, people - this is not a 5 star luxury resort. If that's what you're expecting, then yes, you will be disappointed. If you're looking for an inexpensive, simple, clean, and comfortable place to stay, then it might be worth your while. No, this motel is not new. No, it does not have a fancy buffet breakfast, cushy lobby, or a gym. But I did find the room to be quite nice - the bed was comfortable, there was an in-suite coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, iron & board, and working A/C. It also had a rather large flat-screen TV with a decent selection of channels. It was clean & tidy when I checked in, & was kept that way nicely by the staff. The pool was well-maintained, clean, & refreshing. There was also in-room wifi, and although the signal was not always the greatest, it was usable, however! I found the owner to be quite nice and very accommodating. He's owned the hotel for nearly 15 years, and has been working hard to fix it up from it's previous "fleabag" state... and I think he's doing an admirable job. :) Is it luxury? No. It's a simple "mom & pop" motel for those visiting the area who aren't intending that the motel is their destination. My only real issue (besides the loud drunken couple fighting at 2AM one night) was that being an older building, it took some creativity to find enough outlets for my laptop, cellphone, & tablet. If you plan on spending full days at the motel, then no, you may not be satisfied. If you're simply looking for a comfortable place to spend your evenings & have a hot shower or dip in the pool while visiting, Bayfront Inn fits the bill nicely. I would certainly consider staying there again on my next visit.

The Bayfront Inn is an absolute mess. Staff is the rudest around, the rooms are dirty and disgusting. I can't believe they are still open. I highly recommend the Glasshouse Inn on West 26th Street. They have always been our first choice , but unfortunately they were booked.

My friends and I went on a shopping trip and needed a place to stay for 1 night. We did not read the reviews for this place or else we wouldn't have stayed there. We were charged 3 times for 1 room. The crappy manager was rude and disgusting. The door was not opening properly, the WiFi did not work and the lady at the front desk was no help.Don't go there, it's a nightmare.

We booked at the Bayfront Inn on 8/23 for the eclipse. I called 3/24 to confirm and was told it was under new ownership and they would not honor. It all seems to be same ownership just a new name so they can over charge for the event. They were very rude on the phone.

First He Said It was my banks fault and then proceeded to say it was because I wrote a bad review which i didnt. Two (2) charged on my card even though my receipt says differently WILL GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO STOP HIM FROM DOING THIS TO OTHERS. VERY CONDENSCENDING AND I FELT IT WAS BECASUE OF MY RACE.
