The prime beachfront location provides easy access to the sea and coastal paths. Guests loved the plentiful breakfast and comfortable rooms. The family room was particularly praised.

My friend reserved a room at this hotel, and I came to visit and stay as well. Earlier today, we were greeted by two incredibly kind and friendly housekeepers who asked if we needed service. My friend happily said yes, and while they cleaned our room, we took a walk around the Milford On Sea town. When we returned, the room was spotless—the bed was perfectly made, the towels were neatly arranged, the floors were immaculate, bathroom looked like it was brand new, and everything was refreshed to perfection. The attention to detail was outstanding! Overall, the service was exceptional, and I’d definitely return just because of it!

Looks impressive but wasn’t. Good was ok service was rubbish and they try to be something they are definitely not. Service by scruffy staff with stains on clothing and dirty dishcloth tucked in trousers is not good. Food was nothing special

I was treated with nothing but respect as soon as I waked through the door by the staff very quickly, I went down and got some food and it was really good and worth the price, then went to the beach that was near by, later on I went back to my room and I heard screaming and shouting I ignored it as first, as it couldn’t been children until I see one of the workers who was doing the rooms shouting, I couldn’t figure out her name but she had blonde hair and wore glasses, and it really ruined my day after that, and it kept happening such a horrible way to end the day, such a shame that one individual can make a whole difference towards the place but it really did, other than that it was amazing and definitely would of got 4-5 stars

A bit of a mixed review but overall, a really beautiful hotel with a gorgeous view out the back to the beach. We stayed over valentine's weekend for 1 night in room 22. We booked really late so probably got one of the last rooms which faced the front of the road, no sea view for us. The room itself was spacious with a comfy bed but unfortunately the bathroom was gross. No ventilation and old windows has led to lots of black mould in the shower and ceiling - photos attached. The bathroom radiator wasn't working (which we reported that afternoon when we found out) but was told there was no maintenance on site so it would not be fixed - no one even came to look at it for us! And no other room to move too. So the bathroom was mouldy and freezing and the main shower head didn't work either. Again, we reported this in the evening but was met with a staff member who just said sorry about that. No attempt to try and appease us. On a plus side, we are dinner in the restaurant, food was delish, as was the breakfast and when we checked out and mentioned our unhappiness to another member of staff, he was very apologetic and took our meal off our bill as a gesture which we were happy with. Beautiful old hotel and would absolutely recommend, as long as you're not met with a horrid bathroom like ours. We chatted to other residents who reported no issues with their room so it must be a one off!

We stayed here for 4 nights in Room 10. On arrival, we had to wait for staff as they were busy serving walking groups. Our room was large and quite comfortable. There were a few things that could be improved. The metal bed frame creaked and sqealed with metal rubbing together as you sat on it. Don't book a romantic night in this room. The hot water tap was very hot and should have signs to warn people, the cold water tap was luke warm, not cold. The easy chair wobbled. There is plenty of draw space but minimal wardrobe space due to the old large furniture. There is minimal lighting, and one of the lamps didn't work. Our bed was made and bins emptied, but the floor wasn't cleaned. We found a Kindle in a drawer, so obviously, it isn't cleaned well. I hope the person got it back. We ate in the restaurant once and had a nice meal but waited a while for the bill. One poor lady had to send her food book twice, and another couple were given the wrong food. Staff were lazy, at breakfast, we only had milk on the table when Rumen was working and then when I asked a staff member for a coffee, she told me to make my own, I asked for a latte out of the machine which she didn't seem happy about. When it came, I couldn't drink it, perhaps more training is needed.

Went for dinner, food was ok nothing special and expensive £10+ for a glass of very average wine! Service was not good as staff stood around chatting rather than checking on customers. This is a beautiful building in an amazing setting with stunning views, but it needs a refresh! It appeared dirty and unkempt. We have been to another pub/restaurant in the group The Wheatsheaf near Salisbury and they have the same menu but far superior service. The owners seriously need to revamp the hotel and train the staff if they want to achieve maximum sales. Won’t be going here again!

Just popped in for a light lunch with friends. Now you are asked to order via the QR code on your table or visit the bar. I ordered the soup, via the bar as the QR code system didn't work!! The soup was nice but the stale sourdough bread was abysmal and the kitchen needs to be addressed for allowing such food to be sent out. There was no point complaining as the staff looked like they didn't want to be there and their dress code, well didn't exist. They are obviously allowed to wear whatever clothes they liked. Talk about scruffy. Do young people have no pride in themselves and do we have to be waited on by such unkempt staff. This hotel has seriously seen better days. The last few times have almost been just as bad. We have only visited 3 times in the past 8 months. Each time we have hoped it would improve, but it doesn't. Such a great shame. No one seems to care especially the hierarchy. How they remain open astounds me.
