Stayed in the attic room above the pottery. The room is lovely and convenient for the course and the food is delicious. I've done the 3 day course multiple times now. Dave is a brilliant, patient teacher and I've learnt so much each time I come back. Planning on coming back soon for another go.

Good place to stay I, with my family, stayed in the garden room. The first impression was one of relaxation. It felt like being at home. kick your shoes off and breathe. Plenty of hot water and always there. Just thoroughly enjoyed the stay plus the comfort of being able to walk to restaurants of a good quality.

A unique and amazing place to stay The accommodation is an antique gypsy waggon positioned next to a working pottery. The weather was freezing but a modern heating fire kept me warm. I loved this small but very atmospheric space and felt safe there. The private bathroom/shower area is separate. The owners provide generous breakfast and an external kitchen area can accessed. Pottery shop on site. Lovely place.

I did the 3 day pottery course with 8 other people, who I only met when I arrived. Dave, the host and potter ran an excellent course helping lots of us beginners with a great deal of patience!! We had a lot of fun. We were provided with coffee and cake as well a delicious lunch made by Miranda, a local lady. My accommodation was in Rosie, the gypsy wagon. It was delightful and private. I had good WiFi when I needed it. I made good friends who I explored the local area with. It’s a lovely village by the sea with plenty of good places to eat . Will be recommending it to my friends.

What an amazing day and if the B/B is as good as this one day course, no complaints. Group of 9 with Dave a professional and very personable instructor. By the end of the day we achieved throwing pots and making plates a feat that I never expected. Included refreshments and a delicious lunch, it was such a professional and fun run course. Would thoroughly recommend it and for me personally it was such a wonderful gift.

Pros: Nice room, lots of room. Very clean. The staff are super friendly. Cons: When we arrived there was no one to greet us, no key, we had to call to have someone come to give us the key. The owner wanted to charge us £15 for a "child" fee after we paid for 2 adults and 1 child at the agreed rate. We refused, but this was a bit annoying. The noise was very loud from the guests staying above our bedroom. The flooring is very thin and there are even signs warning the guests on the top and bottom floor to keep the noise down. This was particularly hard to deal with even when wearing earplugs. The heat turned off at 9am and did not turn on again until about 9pm. We had to ask for the heat to be left on. Breakfast is continental style, no hot breakfast served.

Lovely place to stay, minutes from some great eateries and drinking holes, and the beach of course. Beds really comfortable, Garden room warm and spacious, continental breakfast par excellence. What's not to like. Would be a dream in the summer months as the room comes with patio area and seating shared with the Gypsy wagon.

Brilliant day learning how to make pots, plates and bowls at Vinegar Hill. Dave is knowledgeable, patient and seems to enjoy teaching absolute beginners how to create from clay. The lunch was excellent and the brownies in the morning delicious. Whole day was calm, relaxed and enjoyable. Thank you to everyone at Vinegar Hill for a memorable day.
