Holiday Inn Express & Suites Milford

The room is not clean particularly the carpet! The air conditioner is right next to the bed, it’s so loud and woke me up constantly at night!

When we checked in all went well…especially after a 6+ hour drive. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. I got up in the morning to take a shower, no water, just a trickle. After three attempts, I went downstairs and Dakota at the front desk was wonderful and when Lou the maintenance man tried to fix it and couldn’t, he was so gracious and apologetic. We had to move to another room. And it went downhill from there. Several times I was asked if I wanted an upgrade to a suite, no, just a room please. I was given keys to a new room. Went upstairs, packed and went to the new room. Neither keys worked, tried another couple of times. Back downstairs, explained the keys did not work and they were reset. Upstairs again, still didn’t work. Asked a very nice housekeeper to do us a favor and check to see if we were doing something wrong. She used both keys, nothing. She used her master key, nothing. She went and called downstairs and a gentleman came up and nothing, the room must be where Holiday Inn keeps State secrets, because the man from downstairs just waved new keys at us…you guessed it, another room. If you stay at this hotel, do not allow them to put you in Room 409. The bed is awful, pancakes are fluffier than the pillows and two sets of pipes sound like a train morning, noon and night. And upon closer inspection there was someones used and tried out nicotine pouch. Which I had to pick up and dispose of. After that I opted out of room cleaning and just asked for fresh towels daily. Was told to leave the dirty ones in the hall and they would be replaced. Their idea of replaced is empty towels racks and having to ask for towels at the front desk. Went down for a swim, and the pool was so heavily chlorinated I couldn’t see the bottom of the shallow end. Went back upstairs. Book this hotel through something like TripAdvisor because the end invoice didn’t remotely make any sense for the day to day charges. We think that they tried to bill us higher than we paid for upon making the reservations. Check your bill. And last but not least, someone hit our car in the parking lot. The remarkably disinterested man that morning told us that there were two cameras in the parking lot and he would check them and call me. Yup, still waiting. He lied to my face. Spend a couple of extra dollars a night, your car repairs cost more.

We slept well here. Our room faced the back parking area and it was quiet overnight. Beds clean and comfortable. Large walk-in shower. The breakfast area was exceptionally tidy, thanks to the staff member there. I did not try the hot eggs etc but enjoyed toast, cinnamon rolls, cereal, yogurt and coffee. I had hoped to swim but the pool was cloudy and uninviting. I checked both in the evening and in the morning.

Its a room clean as best can tell. Our stay was 3 days. Must have been high school prom or something. Kids running up andvdown hallways, throwing items etc.
