Be Mate Via Tivoli

I stayed here from 23–27 August and had a very disappointing and unsafe experience. 1. Serious Safety Issue – On the night of 26 August, there was a power outage affecting most rooms. Unfortunately, the emergency light in my room did not work at all. I was left completely in the dark, alone, and could barely move. This is a major safety hazard that could easily cause an accident. My friend’s room had a working emergency light, which shows that not all rooms are properly safety-checked. 2. Poor Customer Service – To get help, I had to call their support office in Spain, incurring expensive international call costs. The staff repeatedly asked me to try various methods—like walking in the dark to find the switchboard and toggling multiple buttons—and kept me on hold. There is no onsite customer service after office hours (10 AM–7 PM); only emergency matters are attended via phone or WhatsApp. Guests should not have to bear these costs or risk their safety for service failures. 3. No Daily Cleaning – Despite the high price, there is no daily cleaning service. You can only request basic items such as towel changes or garbage removal. The management repeatedly emphasized that they are a CAV (Casa e Appartamenti per Vacanze) and not a hotel. 4. Value & Location – For the price, the service and amenities do not meet expectations. The location is average and not particularly convenient. 5. Room Condition – The room itself was acceptable, but it had a moldy smell, possibly due to aging wooden furniture. Overall, I felt unsafe during my stay. When I raised these safety concerns, the property insisted that, as a CAV, they are not bound by hotel safety laws. If that is true, guests are effectively staying at their own risk.

I want to leave a negative review about the hotel Be Mate. I'm not happy with the hotel. Terrible smell, mold in the room, very old beds, there is a balcony, but you can not go out on it!!! From the windows there's wind blowing because of the cracks in the frames! Stranger's hair on bed linen. No cleaning was carried out before moving in (the trash can was dirty). Photos from the website are not valid.

I recently spent 3 days at this hotel . There were always loud people late at night. The hotel is extremely dirty and poorly managed. Reception works from 10 am till 4 pm, absolutely not acceptable. The internet did not work, the TV remote did not work, there was food crumbs on the floor.

Such a great find! I love to walk and this place was perfect for me . Away from central tourist traps but close enough I could walk there. The young ladies at reception really made for a fantastic trip for my daughter and I. So kind and helpful.. their generosity and thoughtfulness made all the difference.. The apartments were also so clean cozy modern and comfortable! We will be back!!

Beautiful clean and nice apartments. Very easy to find and only a 10 minute walk from Duomo in a very nice street . Mohamad
