El Oceano Beach Hotel Adults Only Recommended

Wonderful El Oceano !! We came with friends as they had been before on holiday and said if we fancied going book straight away as it books up very quickly, so we booked up 11 months in advance. The staff work very hard and are very professional from the time you arrive nothing is too much trouble to make your holiday special. Prianca and Juan work the restaurant with ease and professionalism and all the staff to name a few Carlos,Yeli,Jose,Simon,Soufian are always attentive and professional. Not forgetting the pool staff Adrian and Marcello thank you for making our friends birthday a very special one you are all very professional and nothing was too much trouble remembering drink requests and they make a mean cocktail. If you are thinking of going which I highly recommend book as soon as you can and also book the Sunday brunch aswell as the food is of a very high standard and the live entertainment is fantastic. Thank you to John the owner and his management team as you have got this hotel spot on with beautiful rooms fantastic food and wonderful staff. Unfortunately, since our arrival, our experience has fallen short of expectations in several ways. Upon check-in, we were not provided with any essential information regarding the amenities, such as the pool or beach access. Additionally, on the evening of our arrival, we ordered food. Regrettably, we were overcharged for this meal, something we only noticed the following day. Next morning, we had breakfast consisting of one scrambled egg with toast and one poached egg. However, we were charged for a full continental breakfast, which does not reflect the meal we ordered. Moreover, the conduct of staff has been concerning. Throughout our stay, they have been rude, unhelpful, and at times, belittling, which has further diminished our experience. We were also not informed about a wedding event taking place today, which caused significant inconvenience. The event was held in the main area, where we were attempting to relax, and we had to walk through the wedding party to access the pool, which was highly uncomfortable. We made a complaint via email to the hotel unfortunately we were told we should have came in person, we were abused as to why we didn’t come in person and instead sent an email. No apologies was received we were charged full price for our stay and the told people make mistakes and this issue was not he hotels fault. Horrible to make a complaint in person for it not to be accepted and then be abused. We are deeply disappointed by the overall experience so far, especially given that we are only on our third night of a week-long stay. We had expected much better service, and it is disheartening to be faced with such a situation on what was meant to be a relaxing holiday.

Service was excellent , food is amazing from breakfast through to dinner . Staff very attentive and extremely nice . Pool staff were very smiley and couldn’t do enough for you . All staff were excellent that’s hard to come by at hotels . Liked our suite . Sunbeds were hugely comfy .

Another couple of stays in the last month at my happy place. Everything is perfect there is nowhere else quite like it. The food, staff, rooms entertainment everything is 10 out of 10. A special shout out to marchello and Dora who were as always amazing everyday at the pool bar. I can’t wait to be back hopefully very soon. My husband said the fillet steak was the best he’s ever eaten which is truly a compliment.

A really great luxury hotel which is privately run. The restaurant is fabulous in terms of location (you overlook the beach) and food is superb. The pool area is amazing, swimming up to get your cocktails is great abd book the VIP beds to get the best views ! Not a cheap hotel by any means but everything is catered for - you can’t get a better experience than El Oceana!

Great stay at El Oceano. Fab location, wonderful pool area and luxurious sun loungers. We ate at the hotel for Sunday lunch which was great with a live singer. It’s a lively place and many of the guests we spoke to have returned for several visits. Staff were all very friendly and the customer service was excellent.

What a lovely hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff at front desk and throughout the hotel are friendly and helpful… every one of them! The hotel itself is beautifully situated on the beachfront, with stunning views from the dining area. We also noticed how clean it was kept, in all areas. We used the sun-beds on the terrace most days to relax & read a book, where we overlooked the seafront, but were really disappointed at the chargeable beds around the pool area… not even a discount offered to residents. What a shame! We ate lunch here a few times and everyone’s meals were reasonably priced and delicious. Also, the gluten free options were much appreciated. Thanks to all staff for a lovely staff and for such good service, despite my one complaint about the money-making pool area.

Pool staff cleaners and restaurant staff very good Room was very basic air conditioning didn’t work properly fridge in room needs servicing or replacing furniture doors and drawers in need of a carpenters touch to allow them to open Paid my bill at reception 2500 euros Man was so rude he took a call as I was paying placed card and receipt on table no did you enjoy your stay or thankyou Think it’s extremely over rated cracks are showing will not return Manners cost nothing unlike your charges El Oceano Also residents get charged service charge on drinks and pool bar leave off with your drink prices could go on for hours but will leave it at that Adios

The hotel is well managed and food is delicious , however the lady who was on reception who wore a black dress needs some customer service this was the day of the ascot day. We kindly asked her to put the England game on at 6pm bearing in mind everyone was dancing not watching the television 80% plus of the guest or more where British. We only requested to put it on one television in the corner, her reply abruptly was no it’s a ascot event after the last race in a rude manner , now bearing in mind I was a paying guest who was staying there for 5 days and most of the people at the event was visiting guest, it felt like the staying guest are penalised over visiting guests because there was two events a baby shower and a ascot event day, even to the point out when we requested some food in the evening it was rejected so we need to call a food delivery service. My view is there needs to be a balance for staying guests v visiting guest obviously the staying guests were not the priority that day / evening ? Obviously we where not part of the ascot event , I even spoke to new arrivals who could not get anything to eat , that’s disappointing, i am not against any business cashing in on eventing but you need to remember you’re guest who are staying short term.
