We had a meal at the lodge and it was absolutely fantastic. Best lamb rack I've ever had. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was very inviting on a winter night. Hope to be back one day!

Rissoles were the best I have had for many years as wear mashed potato. Staff were pleasant and not bad wine list really. My wife tells me the trout pate was excellent. Sure presentation might be less than in the big smoke, but clean and comfortable place to eat.

We visited today for lunch and we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service. The bar staff and waitresses were incredibly friendly, making for a welcoming atmosphere. The meals were generously sized, beautifully presented, well priced and cooked to perfection, particularly the Scotch fillet steak. I was also pleasantly surprised by the immaculate bathrooms—hands down the best we have encountered. Kudos to the owners and staff for delivering such a top-notch experience!

We called in today for lunch on our day trip to great lake and liffey falls, were pleasantly surprised, our meals were very nice and large proportions, tables have beautiful front views of the lake, the lady host was very friendly and welcoming, toilets were very clean and new, we will definately return and hope to have enough time next trip to stay overnight.

Might be good if you're OK with terrible service and being spoken to rudely and definitely do not ask to use the toilet before you purchase anything because they will refuse you. Disgusting attitude. No idea what the food or drink is like because, as hungry and thirsty as we were, we decided it was better to stay that way rather than give custom to a place that treats people like they do. Waste of a lovely spot.

A warm welcome and a comfortable room with electric blankets-lovely!! And given it unexpectedly snowed 20 cms overnight really appreciated! Included breakfast of cereal, toast with all the accompaniments you could think of, was lovely. Dinner at the pub was well priced - look out for happy hour too! Thank you for a great stay, made magical by the snow!

Was not expecting much, however was pleasantly surprised. The room was lovely and clean, quiet and warm, breakfast provided and the bed was comfy. We really enjoyed our dinner - a beautifully cooked steak & venison each served with fresh vegetables. Ben behind the bar was a delight & the cleaner even defrosted our car for us the next morning!

We don’t stay at the lodge we Just went to the pub and had a fishmans basket and it was horrible. Frozen fish from a packet and salad was soggy barely any chips. Actually it was the worst meal on our trip around Tasmania. I would suggest maybe stopping elsewhere for food .

Very nice room, breakfast was provided with the room. It was clean and quiet. It is as advertised on the booking site, which is a very nice change. There is dinner available at the restaurant, it is important to book a table if you want to sit in the dining room. A good variety of drinks.
