DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL I always consider the following when choosing a motel: price, senior discount, free cancellation, customer reviews and breakfast. The fact that the Midvale Quality Inn advertised a breakfast was included in the price of a room was a factor in my wife and I choosing to stay there on September 23, 2023. When we checked in, they failed to inform us that the breakfasts that they advertised as included in the price of the room would not be furnished with our room. Next morning, when we went to the dinning room to get the breakfast we had paid for, there was a sign on the door that said no breakfasts would be served due to staff shortage. When I went to check out and demand a partial refund, there was no one at the front desk. The owners of the Quality Inn, 7251 South 300 West, Midvale, UT are practicing theft by deception. They are advertising a breakfast for each occupant of a room is included in the price they are charging for each room. Then, they are failing to furnish the advertised breakfasts. This results in causing their customers to have to spend an average of $12.50 each for breakfast at a restaurant. If they sell 50 double rooms and 50 single rooms each day, That would be 150 advertised breakfasts per day they are failing to furnish. At $12.50 each, that would amount to $56,250 per month. The desk clerk told me they have not served breakfasts for 3 years, but they are still advertising that they have breakfasts. $56,250 times 36 months is over 2 Million Dollars. That is not petty larceny. That is grand theft.
