Best Western Plus Centurion Hotel

Friendly service, clean room. Bathroom clean, bed was okay

Please add fan or air condition coz so hot when I enter the room the smell is not nice

The room was quite nice with a big window that could be opened.The en-suite was tiny with the toilet right at the door and nowhere to put or hang anything. I found the WiFi hit and miss although my partner found it was ok, so it could have been down to my Carrier. We found the staff at breakfast were not well trained. During our three mornings not once did a staff member smile and were slow to replenish the continental food when needed. The second morning at our 08:30 breakfast slot there was on 2 oranges and no apples or bananas and the orange juice bottle was empty. When I held the empty bottle up to a staff member to ask for more orange juice, she didn’t respond very quickly, but was intent on laying up tables for meals with cloth napkins, so presumably for a lunch or dinner meal. I asked for a pot of tea and was told zi could get a cup of tea myself. I told the staff member that a customer had been offered a pot of tea the day before and that I’d like one please. There was usually three staff on duty, but they didn’t make eye contact or connect with customers, but chose to hide in a room just off where the continental breakfast is laid out.

My wife and I recently stayed at the hotel upon a birthday treat visit to Longleat. The hotel has good parking both front and on the service road to the side. The hotel is smart and clean with good facilities including a lovely lounge leading to the patio with the golf course beyond. The rooms are adequate, ours had two single beds, great drawer space and adequate hanging space. The bathroom was ok, the shower was excellent but does require getting in over the bath so be careful of slipping. Once again not enough shelf/top space for wash bags etc. just one small glass shelf above the toilet. When we arrived to our room it was extremely warm as the windows had not been opened on the sunny side of the building. Once they were open for the first night it cooled down but note there is NO air conditioning so open windows are necessary in the summer plus a plug in fan is available. Note, the service road on the side of the hotel running to the golf course can be noisy with traffic movements from early morning with the windows open. Breakfast is included, there is a good buffet for hot and cold drinks and cold food items with a hot menu to order from the table. The breakfast room is huge with plenty of seated table choices. The seating with lovely views out to the patio and the golf course are the best tables. Unlike the bedroom, the breakfast room is Air-Conditioned and can be rather a shock of cold in the morning following a warm night. We still wore shorts but had tops with sleeves as it was rather cool to sit and eat. Overall this hotel is good value, it's location just outside the town centre is ideal and the staff are both friendly and attentive. Recommended.
