We were extremely disappointed for a number of reasons. The price of the room increased dramatically each night, which was unexpected. When you are quoted a price you assume the cost will be the same if you stay more than one night, not have it increase each of four nights! At the very least these increases should have been made apparent before the booking was made, not after. When we arrived we were told that the elevator was being 'upgraded' and was not operational. Then we were asked whether we wanted a 2nd or 3rd floor room! Since we had to tote our suitcases up stairs, we obviously chose the second floor. When we left four days later it still was not fixed. Next we discovered that the pool was also not operational. This certainly should have been noted in the description of the hotel, since it was quite obvious that this was a long-term project. This was evidenced by the brown paper covering the door to the pool, boxes of materials, and at least one ladder. Though the staff at the desk was pleasant when we asked about the elevator, they did not know what was going on. They also should have been informed. Definitely not a very pleasant experience.
