the perfect staycation! The buildings and rooms have such a historical feel, we loved the guest happy hour, very walkable to everything you need in Middleburg. The staff was amazing and attentive. We will be back!

We love the red fox inn but beg them: please bring back the breakfasts where you sit in the dining area! OR please revamp breakfast options. Tasteless sandwich, no condiments provided (no salt/ pepper/ ketchup/ etc.). Get some new options at the very least! The sand which has been here for years!

The Red Fox Inn is as fantastic as advertised! The room was absolutely adorable, the bed was super comfortable and fluffy and I love how there were stairs on either side to get into it. It was so quiet and relaxing, the staff was so friendly and we loved being in the middle of all of the Middleburg action. The breakfast in bed the next morning was the icing on the cake, with delicious food and treats to cap off our stay. The Tavern is closed on Sunday’s so we weren’t able to try it but if it’s anything like the treats and breakfast that we had, im sure it’s amazing. We can’t wait to come back!

I truly can’t say enough good things about our stay at The Red Fox Inn & Tavern. From the moment we reached out with a last-minute request to accommodate a large group, Samuel and the entire team went above and beyond to make it happen seamlessly. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and effortless. The rooms were beautifully appointed, full of charm and character, and the property itself is a slice of Virginia history. It is timeless and immaculately kept. We were especially delighted by the thoughtful touches: delicious complimentary cookies, breakfast delivered right to our rooms (what a treat!), and the kind of gracious service you rarely find these days. This is more than just a place to stay -- it’s a truly special experience. I’m already dreaming about coming back.

We were in Middleburg for a wedding and stayed at The Red Fox Inn and Tavern for the weekend. We stayed in an adorable cottage called Belmont. It was so quaint and quiet. So relaxing. The Inn is located very conveniently in the heart of the downtown making it easy to walk to restaurants and fun shops. They brought a delicious breakfast and hot coffee to our door both mornings and were responsive quickly if we needed anything extra. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out everything was top notch. We can’t wait to go back!

The Red Fox Inn and Tavern, as always, gets five stars from us! They make sure that you have everything you need and go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay! Wonderful staff, lovely meals and comfortable rooms! We can’t wait to return!!!

The bed was clean and comfy. The air conditioning was on full blast with no means to control it. We went to inquire with late night security lady and she was no where to be seen after our late check in. We checked everywhere inspite of her telling us she would be up and working all night The TV remotes were filthy dirty and sticky and the guide channel would not label the network stations. Xfinity cable equipment quite outdated. Directions were useless. Finally, the breakfast delivered to the room did not include the orange juice nor oat milk offered to us at check in. The interior design is looking worn out and tired and in need of a deep clean with fresh rugs and upholstery.
