Honestly, don't do it to yourself! There are much better places on Kangaroo Island that are SO MUCH CHEAPER! To start, it is at least 1.5 hours drive from the ferry to the cabin, half of which is on a rough, dirt road. Once you are there, you can't really go anywhere because you can't easily drive at night and most rental companies won't cover you. The main issue though, was the fact that the cabin sat at 35 degrees during the day, up until about 8pm. There is a useless aircon in the living room that doesn't even vaguely cool off the bedroom, and the front veranda has no shade and is extremely windy, so sitting out there is not an option. The beautiful bath with the amazing views is spectacular, but maybe not for your neighbours- there is absolutely NO privacy, so hopefully they weren't looking outside when we hopped in the bath! The view to the front of the bath is lovely, but look a little to the side and you can see all the pipes, weeds and dead grass under the cabin. But that's if you can use the bath - there is no protection upon the hill, so the extreme wind puts you off, and as the sides get so hot during the day that you can't actually lean against them. I brought up the subject of the intense, 35 degree heat with the manager, but he told me to sit on the veranda........ nope! If you can stand the wind and the heat, there are two bean bags that don't have any back support or two plastic chairs that get crazy-hot in the sun. Overall, it is a really lovely place, but the many negatives far outweigh the few positives. They are not well designed, with no power points near the bed, no aircon in the bedrooms, a very small bathroom and NO privacy protection from the elements. These are NOT luxury cabins. A bit of modern furniture and black paint doesn't make something luxurious. Luxury is, by definition, a state of great comfort or elegance, especially when involving great expense. Wanders got one of the three - the expense!
