The Grayson Hotel Miami

The hotel is quite new. It has a good modern gym. The room was clean but the shower doesn't work properly.

Having traveled extensively—from luxurious 5-star all-inclusive resorts to modest stays I'd rather forget—I can confidently recommend The Grayson Hotel in Miami. It earns a solid 4 out of 5 stars from me. The only reasons for docking one star were the excessively high prices at the restaurant and bar, and noticeable road noise due to its proximity to the freeway. Room:We stayed in a Junior Corner Suite, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was contemporary, spotlessly clean, and incredibly spacious. Highlights included a convenient walk-in closet and a modern bathroom featuring a bidet. Being surrounded by large windows provided abundant natural light, making the atmosphere bright and welcoming. The only downside was the noticeable freeway noise due to the hotel's proximity to the freeway. For us, it acted as comforting white noise, but light sleepers might find it disruptive, particularly with occasional sirens throughout the night. Amenities: We dined at the hotel’s restaurant on the 3rd floor. While the ambiance was pleasant, both the food and drinks were considerably overpriced—I paid $31 for a Caesar salad with chicken. On a brighter note, the drinks were well-crafted and enjoyable, despite their high cost. The pool area on the 14th floor was exceptional. It offered comfortable seating in a quiet and relaxing environment. However, due to being surrounded by the building, it received limited sunlight until late afternoon. For sun-seekers, the alternative lap pool with all-day sun exposure might be more suitable. As someone who prefers shade, I found it ideal. Staff:The Grayson Hotel staff were outstanding and definitely deserving of 5 stars. From the friendly waiter in the restaurant and welcoming front desk staff to various employees encountered throughout our stay, everyone greeted us warmly with genuine smiles and exemplary service. Location: Perfectly situated for our needs, The Grayson Hotel was conveniently close to the cruise port, making our transfer quick and hassle-free. It is also within a short walking distance to the waterfront, featuring delightful shops, food trucks, and other attractions. Although it's not directly in the vibrant South Beach area, the central location met all our requirements and offered great value for the price. Additional Noteworthy Items:Overall, our experience at The Grayson Hotel was delightful. The corner suite on the 7th floor was notably impressive with ample natural lighting, and the minor inconvenience of freeway noise did little to detract from our overall satisfaction. For those sensitive to noise, consider requesting a room away from the freeway side. We would gladly recommend The Grayson Hotel to anyone visiting Miami, especially those preparing for a cruise or seeking a central and comfortable base from which to explore the city. t's an excellent choice with great rooms, superb staff, and a prime location.
