Scam. They posted a fake review under my name. Lots of secret fees. Unpleasant experience. Only 1 working elevator for this huge high rise. This creates delays and makes accessing the amenities a hassle. We left and went to an actual hotel. Front desk is only for residents not visitors.

I arrived here expecting a temporary home, only to find myself trapped in a nightmare with no escape. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the unrelenting cacophony of construction noise—hammering, drilling, and chaos from dawn to dusk. Management claims it’s been ongoing for over a year and will be completed “soon.” Yet, from what I’ve gathered, they’re merely shifting construction from one section to another—next stop? The pool area. Residents (and most likely hotel guests) will be unable to use the pool for another year. Then came the real shock: My balcony door is permanently locked. Not just mine—every resident whose balcony faces the construction is banned from opening their doors. That means no fresh air. No escape. Just the stale, recycled hum of artificial A/C air, suffocating and inescapable. When residents beg for solutions, management dismisses us outright: ❌ “Buy a fan.” ❌ “Our ventilation system is great!” It’s not. I’m getting sick. The dry, recycled air is aggravating my allergies, and my apartment doesn’t even have a single window to open—just walls, walls, and more walls. I feel trapped. Isolated. Helpless. How are people expected to live like this? And here’s the kicker: I can’t even leave. My landlord refuses to issue a refund or acknowledge the situation. He conveniently failed to disclose these issues before I signed the lease. Now, I’m stuck in an unlivable space that feels less like a home and more like a prison. Before You Sign Anything, Ask: ✔️ Are the balcony doors locked? ✔️ Can the windows be opened? ✔️ What construction is happening now, and what’s next? They’ll say anything to get you in. But once you realize the truth, it’s too late. Their excuse for sealing the balconies? “A resident was hanging on construction ropes.” Really? If someone is determined to do something reckless, they’ll find a way—locked doors or not. Instead of implementing a reasonable solution—like allowing balcony access after work hours, or signing a liability waiver… This isn’t just inconvenient. It’s cruel. It’s mentally exhausting, emotionally draining, and physically suffocating. This isn’t just a building issue—it’s a quality of life crisis. We are human beings. We need air. We need space. We need transparency before signing a lease. Bottom line: I feel completely betrayed by this building and my landlord. Living here has been a nightmare that’s harmed my quality of life. I cannot wait to leave and put this horrible chapter behind me. Save yourself the heartbreak and find somewhere else to live – because right now, Icon Brickell feels less like a luxury home and more like a deceptive trap that has left me emotionally and physically drained. No one deserves to go through what I’m experiencing. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.
